Thank you for guiding us with patience, encouraging us to grow, and making us discover the beauty of learning through Romeo and Juliet. We love you. :)

First Work: William Shakespeare’s CV
The first work we did was a Curriculum Vitae about William Shakespeare. In this activity, we had to present his personal information, his job, and his main achievements as if he were a real person applying for work. We included details about his life, his career as a playwright, poet and actor, and some of his most famous plays such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and Macbeth. This task helped us to know more about him and to understand why he is one of the most important writers in history.

Second Work: The Masquerade Party Invitation
The second activity was to design an invitation for the Capulet’s masquerade ball, one of the most important events in Romeo and Juliet. In this task, we had to be creative and make the invitation attractive and mysterious. We included details such as the date, time, and place of the party, and we also added a short message to invite the guests to wear a mask and enjoy the night. This work helped me to imagine how people in Shakespeare’s time celebrated and to understand the importance of this party in the play, because it is the moment when Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time.

Third Work: An Imaginary Chat After the Masquerade Party
The third activity was to create an imaginary chat between Romeo and Juliet after the Capulet’s masquerade party. The idea was to imagine how they would text each other if the play happened nowadays. In this chat, we used romantic expressions, emojis, and informal language to show their love in a modern way. We also included a picture to make it look more realistic. This task helped me to connect the original story with the present, and to understand how the feelings of Romeo and Juliet are universal and timeless, no matter the century.

Fourth Work: Juliet’s Description
The fourth activity was to describe one of the main characters of Romeo and Juliet. We chose Juliet and created a profile that included both her physical appearance and her personality. For this task, we worked with different adjectives to practice descriptive writing in English. We wrote about Juliet as a young and delicate girl with bright eyes and natural beauty, but also as a sensitive, intelligent and brave person, full of strong feelings and maturity despite her age. This work helped me to practice vocabulary and to understand Juliet’s character better through character analysis.

Fifth Work: Memes about Tybalt’s Death
The fifth activity was to create memes about Tybalt’s death after he was killed by Romeo. The purpose of this task was to use humor and creativity to represent a tragic moment of the play in a different way. By making these memes, we ridiculised and exaggerated the scene, transforming it into something funny and modern. This work allowed us to put our creative thinking skills into practice, to see the story from another perspective, and to connect Shakespeare’s tragedy with today’s digital culture.
