There’s a news bulletin making its way around: What is this strange, ominous misty fog hanging in the air? Where is it coming from—and does anyone even care enough to investigate the toxins filling our skies? These very toxins are spreading despair everywhere!

Hmm... what could be causing this mysterious gray fog in our atmosphere? Rumor has it that it’s the result of poor manners being released into the air. There must be tons of bad manners scattered around, and they’re affecting our climate as well. My teammates are searching for solutions to help clean up this chaos. How about you—are you willing to lend a helping hand?
Pardon me, and forgive my poor manners for not introducing myself earlier! My name is Jeremy Jennings, and I am a school news reporter along with a few of my peers at Growth Mindset Academy. We enjoy reporting on issues and finding solutions to create a better, more enjoyable climate. Boys and girls, I’ve just received a report, and it states that the fog is caused by poor manners being released into our atmosphere. I wonder how they determined that?

Hi, Cindy.
Hello, Alejandro.
To answer your question, Jeremy, we determined that the fog is caused by poor manners being released into our atmosphere because our hand-operated air quality machine detected poor-manners fallout particles circulating in the air. Cindy and I are reducing the fallout by being courteous to each other with a pleasant, friendly greeting.
We’ve learned that using good manners helps create clean, fresh air, and it lowers the Air Quality Index in our schools, homes, and neighborhoods.
Our hand-held Manners Air Quality Control Device tells us about the different manners' air quality ranges. We take this device with us wherever we go.

Manners' Air Quality Ranges:
Excellent – Everyone is using kind words and showing respect.
Good – Most people are polite, with just a few slip-ups.
Fair – Some manners are missing, and the air is getting cloudy.
Poor – Rudeness is spreading, and the fog is thick.
Toxic – Manners have vanished, and the air is hard to breathe!
