One sunny morning, Mara went to the park with her little red backpack. There, near the lake, she discovered a huge tree, with a thick trunk and leaves whispering like a secret. To her surprise, the tree spoke: “Hello, Mara!”

At first, Mara thought she was dreaming. But the tree explained that it was old and wise, and only very few children could hear its voice. “You have a curious heart, and that’s why you can understand me,” it said.

The tree lifted a branch and showed her a hollow. Inside, Mara found a nest with baby sparrows. She learned that every leaf and branch shelters a small, living world.

The tree gave her a green leaf: “Every leaf is like a little factory of life. From sun and water, I make food for myself and for the air you breathe.” Mara held the leaf close to her heart, amazed by this gift.

Το δέντρο της έδωσε ένα πράσινο φύλλο: «Κάθε φύλλο είναι σαν ένα μικρό εργοστάσιο ζωής. Από τον ήλιο και το νερό, φτιάχνω τροφή για τον εαυτό μου και για τον αέρα που αναπνέεις». Η Μάρα κράτησε το φύλλο κοντά στην καρδιά της, έκπληκτο από αυτό το δώρο.

At the roots, Mara noticed a line of hardworking ants. The tree told her they keep the soil clean and feed the earth. Mara wondered: “Does every creature have its own purpose?”

Part 6 – Journey to the Top of the Crown 

The Journey to the Top of the CrownSuddenly,         a magical ladder of leaves appeared. Mara climbed all the way to the top, among the thick branches. From there, she saw the entire city and realized how small the human world is compared to the vast world of nature.
