My family Intro

My family consists of four people: My mom, Tiffany; my brother, Shaun; my 2nd brother, Austin; and myself. My brother Shaun is a retired Marine, and my brother Austin is in the army. My Mom is a secretary at Keller Collegiate Academy, and I am a middle school student and a dancer! We love to spend time together, watch movies, and celebrate our love for Jesus, each other, and  our memories.

What is a Family?

A family is a group of people who are brought together by marriage, blood, or a bond that is inseparable. There is no right or wrong family and each one has special qualities. Families share things like memories, specialties, and qualities that make each person different. Families love each other no matter what and will always be family until the end of time.

Family Types

My family is a single parent family because I live with my Mom and her children, (me and my siblings).  We are also an extended family type. That is because I have aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

Family Life cycle Stage

Our family is in the launching stage of the life cycle of a family. That is because both of my brothers live out of the house permanently, as they are in the military.

Religious Education

One family function we do is religious education. I am a Christian and as a family we celebrate our love for Jesus. We go to church, celebrate things like Easter and Christmas,  we pray, read our Bible, and share the Gospel. 

Recreation

Another family function we do is recreation. We love to hike, shop, play board games, go bowling, and just being outside. We love spending time together doing fun things like this!

Love and Support

Another family function we do is love and support. We love each other and show it every day. We show up for each other as we love and support one another.

Providing Basic Needs

Another family function we do is providing basic needs. My mom makes sure we have food on the table, a healthy, happy home, fresh water, and clothes to wear. She makes our house feel like a home and provides everything we need.

We have also done the family function procreation. That is because our family has had children
