Family Introduction

My family consists of: me, my mom, Cayla, my dad, Wes, my oldest brother, Brayden who is 16 years old, my oldest sister, Leah who is 14 years old, my younger sister, Maci who is 10 years old. Also me and my family of 6, have two dogs and they are both english cream golden retrievers, one is named Tri who is a boy and the oldest, the other one is a girl who is named Kona.

What is a Family?

A family is a group of 3 or more people who are related by blood, or just people that have a very, very strong bond within each other. They are often there for each other, providing support, care, and  love through all of their bad times. Families have responsibilities to share, stories to share, and affection upon each other. They enjoy sad, bad, and funny moments and will always be together far away or not.

Family Types

My family is in the nuclear family type because my mom and my dad are married with their 4 children that belong to them. Also I am a part of the extended family type because I have aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and they do not live with me.

Family Life cycle Stage

Me and my family are in a family with teenagers- stage 5 of the family life cycle. My family does consist of two teenagers, but my oldest brother, Brayden is 16 years old and lives in the same home as the rest of us.

 A Family Function we do is

      Love & Affection

My family's number one rule is to show our love and support to both our family and others. Our love language together is sometimes hugs but also just telling each other we love them. My family shows support in many ways, one being, going to each other's events and things that mean a lot to them.

Another Family function is 

  Providing Basic Needs

I believe my mom and dad go above and beyond with providing basic needs for my family, they provide healthy things like, water, clothing,, and a loving home.

      Economic Support

 2 out of the 6 family members in my family have jobs to support and provide for my family, and 1 member in my family owns a business but does not pay for the family just himself. My mom works at a school, and my dad works for a business while my brother owns a small business.

Both of my parents value and support me and the rest of my siblings in school and the education we do. They make sure that we are aware of our grades and if we need to fix them, we need to fix them!

          Adaptation

When me and my family were younger we had lived in a previous house than we are today. The last house held so many memories but we have learned to adjust and make memories here in my new home.

My family also shows

    Recreation

Me and my family will always find a time once a week to have fun and bond with each other. For example, some things we have done in the past are going to the water park, we have explored many types in different places maybe even in different states. We find this time so enjoyable and we consume so many memories that will be with me forever.

Protection is also a very important

     family function we do

I can always count on my parents to teach me safety and keep me very safe in the world we live in today. To stay safe me and my family will always lock the doors and their cars no matter the time of the day. With a big family and some small children safety is key.
