Introduction

In my family I have 2 older brothers one is 20  and his name is Joshua, the other is 17 and his name is Diego. I have a mom and dad and their names are Rosa and Shannon. I'm the youngest and my name is Rubi, I am 14 years old. We also have a golden doodle named Bucky.

What does a family mean

To me a family means having close people you can spend time with and live with. Family is also people who you care about and who care about you. A family always sticks together and bonds with each other. Family will always support each other emotionally and financially. what makes a family strong is if they always communicate with each other and show affection. 

Family types

My family type is a nuclear family. We are all related and my parents are still together. My family is also conditionally separated because my oldest brother is in the military for the next four years. Our family is also an extended family because I have aunts, uncles, and cousins.

My family has reached the launching stage because my brother is in the military and doesn't live with us anymore.

Family function: Recreation

Our family function is recreation because we love to do a lot of activities. We love to travel every year to different places. Some places we like to travel to are amusement parks like Universal Studios, beaches in Hawaii, or the mountains in Montana.

A family function my parents provide me is basic needs because I have a roof over my head, I eat dinner every night and have basic hygiene.

Another family function we have is religious education. I was raised as a Catholic. For example when I was younger I got baptized in a Catholic Church. When I was younger we would usually go to church only on Christmas eve but now we go on Sundays too for school.
