This is dedicated to my family: Laci Woods, Tina Woods, and Jeff Woods. My biggest supporters, love you forever

Once, in a small town tucked between two hills, there was a tiny art classroom filled with the smell of crayons and wet paint.
The walls were covered with colorful drawings—bright suns, green fields, purple skies, and red houses that leaned a little to the side.

The students in Mrs. Woods' art class loved to paint. They mixed colors, splattered paint, and proudly hung their masterpieces on the drying rack. But one morning, something strange happened. When the class opened their paint boxes, one color was missing—blue.
Every shade of blue—sky blue, navy, turquoise, indigo—were all gone. The tubes were empty, the crayons were broken, and even the markers had dried up.
Mrs. Woods frowned. “Hmm..."
She said, “looks like we’ll have to make art without blue today.”

The students gasped.
“But how can we paint the sky?” asked Eli.
“What about the ocean?” added Mia.
“My favorite shirt is blue!” said Noah, tugging at his collar.
Mrs. Woods smiled. “Artists are problem solvers. Let’s see what happens when we can’t use blue.”
The class got to work. Eli painted a sunset sky full of oranges and pinks. Mia painted a green ocean that shimmered like emeralds. Noah mixed purple and gray to make shadows that looked almost blue. The classroom buzzed with creativity, and even without blue, the artwork glowed with imagination.
But when the bell rang, Mrs. Woods noticed something else missing—the usual laughter. The students cleaned up quietly. They missed the comfort of the sky’s calm blue, the ocean’s cool blue, the simple peace it brought.
That night, Mrs. Woods stayed late, thinking. She took out a blank canvas and whispered, “Where did the blue go?”
Suddenly, she heard a soft rustling, like wind through paper. A swirl of color appeared—tiny sparkles of blue paint dancing through the air. The blue whispered, “Everyone takes me for granted. They use me for the sky, the sea, the shadows—but they forget I have feelings too.”
