Michelle lived in a simple and peaceful village with her family. Most people in the village relied on farming to make a living, and many believed that boys were more capable than girls when it came to farm work. Growing up with these expectations, Michelle often felt that she was treated unfairly and started to doubt whether she was really less capable than boys.
Their parents spent a lot of time and money on Mark's extracurricular classes; however, they sadly didn't believe in Michelle. They thought that she just couldn't do as well as Mark.
On the other hand, Michelle often had to help with household chores, while Mark could focus on his own things without having to do anything.
In addition, when Michelle caught a cold and felt really uncomfortable, she wanted to go to a hospital or clinic to see a doctor, but her parents thought it wasn’t necessary and that it wasn't a big deal at all.
Years later, Michelle grew up and followed her passion for makeup to help others feel beautiful. Besides sharing her beauty skills, she also dreams of becoming a professional model one day. She was now dedicated to building a future she truly loves.
Michelle wished to move to a more developed city where she could learn more, improve herself, and chase her dreams. Hearing this broke Michelle’s heart. She felt misunderstood and restricted, so she sat alone in the village park and cried.
Suddenly, a woman came over and sat beside her, starting a conversation. The girl named Lily encouraged her to fight for her rights.
Lily has also experienced unfair treatment because of her gender and knew what it felt like to be limited by society's expectations. Lily taught Michelle that boys and girls should be treated equally and that whatever boys can do, girls can do as well.
