who passed away in June 2024

Page1:
Archie Senior was a dog of great importance. Not because he could fetch the world's tiniest tennis ball (he was too distinguished for that), but because he had been given a Very Important Job.
He stood on the carpet, his grey muzzle pointed to the ceiling, which was where the best smells often drifted from. Today, the smell was not sausages. It was much better! It was a smell of Celebration and New Clothes.
Archie Senior was wearing his Smartest Outfit—a dark blue tuxedo with a shirt so white it almost hurt your eyes, and a big, bright, Wiggly Red Bow Tie!
"Right, old chap," a kind voice boomed, "time for your big day out!"
Archie gave a little 'Woof!' that sounded very much like "I'm ready for the party!"

Page2:
His humans, Mark and Leeanne, were getting married! And Archie Senior was the official Dog of Honour—or maybe he was the Best Boy? Either way, he was a very important part of the procession.
He felt a wobble in his paws. A Wibbly-Wobbly Wedding Wobble!
He remembered what his friend, Archie, had told him: "When you have a wobble, always remember where your most important tail is!"
Archie Senior gave his own tail a tiny, secret wiggle, which was very difficult to do when you were standing so still and dignified.
He marched out the door, his blue tuxedo jacket flapping
slightly with the excitement.
Next stop: The Wedding!

Page 3:
The car ride was quite an adventure! Archie Senior sat up straight, his red bow tie bouncing gently with every little bump. He watched the world zoom by through the window, his ears perked up, taking in all the exciting new smells and sights.
He saw trees waving hello, and houses whizzing past like blurry paintings. He even saw a squirrel that looked like it was having a very important meeting with an acorn – probably planning its own nut-gathering strategy for the day.
"Almost there, Archie," a voice chuckled from the front.
Archie Senior let out a soft 'Mmf-mrf,' which meant, "I know, I can feel the wedding excitement in my whiskers!" He imagined the wedding would be full of happy barks, delicious dropped crumbs (a dog can dream!), and lots of lovely pats.

Page 4:
Soon, the car slowed down, then stopped. Archie Senior could hardly contain his Waggly-Wiggly Anticipation! He gave a little shiver of excitement as the door opened.
He stepped out, his paws finding solid ground, and looked up. Oh my goodness gracious, it was a Big, Beautiful Building! It had tall windows that sparkled like a hundred happy eyes, and a grand door that looked like it belonged in a fairytale.
Flowers in pots stood guard by the entrance, smelling sweet and welcoming. Archie Senior took a deep breath. This was it! The Wedding Place!
He gave a dignified shake, making sure his bow tie was perfectly straight. This was no time for scruffy fur. This was a day for being impeccably dressed and perfectly behaved. Mostly.
