WE WANT
OUR OCEANS
STAY
BLUE
CLEAN

One day, while walking on the beach, I saw a plastic bottle washed up on the shore. It looked small, but I knew hundreds of pieces of trash like that could harm the ocean. That day, I promised myself: whenever I visit a beach, I will pick up any litter I see and throw it away properly. It’s a small action, but a good start to protect the ocean.
Today, when I think about the oceans, I remember not only their beauty but also the sense of responsibility they taught me. Oceans are not just a view; they are the source of life, part of our breath, and a treasure we all must protect.

I love hobbies like swimming, watching sea-animal videos, and collecting pictures of ocean creatures. These hobbies help me understand how important the oceans are. When I watch colorful fish and corals, I see that the ocean is a huge home for many living things.
Sometimes I pick up shells or take photos at the beach. These small activities make me realize that we must keep the ocean clean, because all the animals I love depend on it.
My hobbies make me happy, but they also remind me that protecting the ocean is very important for our world.

News From the World
Oceans Are the Source of the Planet’s Oxygen
Scientists announced that nearly half of the world’s oxygen comes from the oceans. Experts explained that tiny plankton living in the sea play a vital role for our planet, and said that protecting the oceans is essential for everyone.
Plastic Pollution Threatens Marine Life
A new report shows that millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans every year. This pollution creates serious danger for turtles, whales, and seabirds. Researchers say that reducing plastic use can help protect marine life.
Coral Reefs Are in Danger
Studies at the Great Barrier Reef show that rising ocean temperatures are causing coral bleaching. Experts describe coral reefs as “as important as forests” for the ocean ecosystem and warn that urgent action is needed.

Little Fish Says
A tiny fish swam up to me
And said:”please keep clean the sea”
“If the ocean stays bright and clear,
All its creatures live without fear”
One Small Step
A small step,a caring hand,
Helps the ocean,sea and sand.
Pick up trash,keep water clean

One day, I saw the three children on the beach. These kids were throwing the junk food they ate into the sea. When I saw them I said "I know you are having a lot of fun but our seas are polluted and our animals are dying because of this garbage. Can you throw this in the trash". Two children did not pay attention to this, but one of them knew that garbage should not be thrown into the sea. He took the garbage from his friends hands and came to me and said, "We are very sorry, animals are dying because because of us, I will throw it in the trash immediately, thank you for informing us. "I was very happy when I heard this and actually, thanks to my warning, at least one sea animal doesn't die.

When I was 6 years old, the seas were so clean. But nowadays I can't swim in the sea, because of the trash. Some people are throwing their trash into the sea without thinking for even 1 second. But then they are complaining about the trash. While I was diving to collect some seashells I saw a lot of trash like: ice cream packaging, pockets, tissues...Because of this trash sea creatures lost their lives. When I see some trash in the sea, I pick them up and throw them away in trash or recycle bins. For protecting the sea and the sea animals I joined this eTwinning project. Don't forget one trash does not just cause pollution, but also it causes one life.

I love watching documentaries, especially those about nature. Seeing the lives of the creatures I share the same world with has always affected me. One time, when I was 10 years old, a documentary about marine animals that I randomly started watching became one of the most impactful ones for me. The name of the documentary was “My Octopus Teacher”.
When I watched the documentary, I realized that I knew nothing about the which make up 70% of the world. There was a whole world beneath those waters. Just like that octopus, hundreds of differents species were living their life. That day, I promised myself that I would try to protect the entire ocean.

The first time I saw the seas was when I was just a little kid at 2. I loved swimming so much, my parents say that I never wanted to leave and that I swam for hours and I still love swimming. But I hate how there is so much trash on our beautiful waters. I want to raise awareness and help clean it up. That is why I joined this project. The ocean and the amazing creatures it has deep in it is astonishing. I believe the human mind cannot comprehend the info that we still have millions of sea life to discover.

BBC NEWS
According to a research from the University of Plymouth in England, more than one-fifth of the oceans have darkened over the past 20 years. This process, known as "ocean darkening," occurs when physical changes in the uppermost layer of the water make it harder for light to penetrate. This upper layer, called the "photic zone," is home to 90 percent of all marine life.
This zone is vital for maintaining a healthy global biogeochemical cycle.

Crabs break down microplastic particles - study
A species of crab has been found to play an "unheralded role" in the breakdown of microplastic particles, according to scientists.
The University of Exeter said scientists observed fiddler crabs in a polluted mangrove forest in Colombia ingest "large quantities of small plastic particles in the sediment".
It said the species could break down plastics within days - but scientists warned of a potential release of harmful nanoplastics into their tissues and, consequently, the food chain.
Tamara Galloway, professor of ecotoxicology in the Department of Biosciences in Penryn, said: «Until now, we did not know whether they avoided plastic in the natural environment or would adapt to its presence.»

We shouldn't avoid this anymore.
We can't avoid this anymore.
Animals,fishes,plants are dying,
Every single day if we continue!
Every single trash we throw,
Every single plastic.
Ends one life each day.
How can you avoid this?
How can you not take action?
How can you act like everything is fine,
When it clearly isn't?

The Future
Almost everyone knows that oceans and seas have a major role in our life. But do you know why we care about oceans this much?
So, here are 4 reasons:
1-Oxygen
Phytoplankton – tiny plant-like organisms that live in the sea – are responsible for at least %50 of the oxygen on the World.
2-Food
Fish is on the menu for billions of people around the world every day. It Accounts for almost %16 of all animal protein consumed globally. Of course, there’s more to seafood than fish, crustacea and other edible creatures.
3-Climate regulation
Covering 70 percent of the Earth's surface, the ocean transports heat from the equator to the poles, regulating our climate and weather patterns.
4-Medicine
Many medicinal products come from the ocean, including ingredients that help fight cancer, arthritis, Alzheimer's disease, and heart disease.

We, all of us should help
This isn't a me problem,
This is our future that we are talking about.
This is our future dying that we are talking about,
This will be the future you are gonna give to your kids if you don't care!
So get up, at least try to help.
At least take action,
Pick up the bottle you throw,
Clean your local beach.
Or this will be the future.

The Great Blue Friend
There is a blue giant by the sea,
That breathes in deep, constantly.
Its waves are a game thar never ends,
Inviting me to find my ends
Sometimes calm, like a smooth mirror bright,
It keeps secrets with all its might.
Other times, rough, with foam and with salt,
It shows a strength that is at no one's fault.

Life in the ocean
Fish dance softly in the deep,
Corals glow where shadows sleep.
Life moves gently,wild and free,
In the heart of the endless sea.

The other day, we went to the sea just to clear our minds. As soon as we felt the salty breeze, we realised that everything around us became lighter. The water was cold, but we still let it wash over our feet. We stayed there for a moment, listening to the waves crashing, as if the sea were whispering to us.
And in that instant, we realised that it was there, in that sound and that movement, that our hearts found rest. Then we returned home different — calmer, as if the sea had lent us a piece of its peace.

BLUE BIRD
Once blue and endless
Now the ocean chokes in silence
All of the human beings
Break the blue bird's wings
Since that's the case
We have to take action
Thoughts shouldn't remain only in says
