Have you ever went on a vacation that
didn't go as planned? Little Jessie Johnson
packed her bags for her trip to Florida to spend
the summer with her aunt and cousins. But
nothing could have prepared her for what she
discovered about herself when her trip went all
wrong.

Jessie's mom took her to the big airport to
get on a plane for Florida. Her aunt and
cousins were excited about Jessie's visit to
Miami for the summer.
On the long flight from New York to Miami,
the stewardess stayed right with Jessie, but
Jessie was not afraid to fly. In fact, she was
having a good time watching a movie on the
plane when suddenly a peculiar sound
interrupted the movie.

SPLASH!!
The main engine in Jessie's plane had
stopped working, so the plane had to
make an emergency landing.
Since the plane had already flown over
the last small town before reaching the
Atlantic Ocean, the pilot of the plane had
to land it in the sea.

"This is awful!" Jessie thought to herself."Instead of diving into the swimming pool
at my aunt's home, I'm diving
into the deep blue sea."

Jessie's plane slowly descendeduntil it came to rest on the
bottom of the ocean floor.

"Wow! This is likeswimming in an
aquarium!" Jessie
thought.

Jessie saw fish of everycolor. And, mermaids, mermen,
crabs and colorful plants.
"What do you think this might be?" A mermaid named Denise asked.
"I have no idea." Alex, a merman replied.
"It sure is heavy though."
"It came from the sky and it has wings
like a bird." Claimed Denise. "So, it must be
a silver-winged diver.
"There's no such thing as a silver-winged
diver, Denise. Did you just make that up?"

Well, it's certainly not a ship.

And, its not a boat, so it must be a
silver-winged diver!

So, what should we do with it? I think we should use it
for something, don't you?
