said leafstar, leader of thunderclan."We must start the ceremonies.All cats old enough to catch their own pray, gather under highrock for a clan meeting!As you all know, some kits are ready to become apprentices.Sunkit, Reapingenkit, and Lepordkit, please come to highrock."The kits padded over to highrock, ready to begin their ceremonies."Reapingkit will now be known as Reapingpaw.Lepordkit will now be known as Lepordpaw.Sunkit will now be known as Sunpaw."Said leafstar.Sunpaw smiled at her new name."Rockypelt, you will be lepordpaw's mentor.Nightberry, you will be reapingpaw's mentor.And robintail, you will be sunpaw's mentor."Sunpaw looked over and saw a reddish orange tabby she cat."This

is going to be fun."she thought to herself.Robintail padded over to her."hello.I am Robintail, your mentor.we'll start training tomorrow at dawn.Goodnight!"Said robintail.Sunpaw walked over to the apprentices' den, pausing once to look over her shoulder at pretty night woods.she saw some little eyes and wondered,"What could that be?Well probably nothing important.I'll look in the morning."She lay down on a patch of moss and went to sleep.In the morning, sunpaw got up and went over to the fresh kill pile to get breakfast.when she was done, she accidentally walked into reapingpaw."Oh sorry, Sunpaw!My paws have minds of their own."Reapingpaw said."It is fine."Said a happy sunpaw."I hope she's okay.Reapingpaw only has three legs."Thought sunpaw.She steadily walked over to robintail, and they greeted."Good morning."Said sunpaw."Good morning to you too!"Said robintail."Today, we are patrolling the boarders with rockypelt and lepordpaw."Sunpaw smiled."Lepordpaw is my brother."Lepordpaw padded over to them and said,"Rockypelt is still eating- 

his breakfast."robintail laughed."He does like to savor his meat, doesn't he?"Lepordpaw said "Yes he does!"Rockypelt walked over to the cats and said he was ready to start the patrols."First we are going to go to our boarder with riverclan, the sunning rocks are ours and the stream their's."Said robintail as they walked to a stream with lots of big rocks in it."next is the boarder with shadowclan, the thunderpath.be very carful when you cross it, because monsters run across it."Said rockypelt, as he and robintail showed them a cement path."and this is our boarder with windclan?"Asked sunpaw as they approached some grassy hills."yes."said robintail."now let's go back to camp, because it is almost moonhigh."as the cats made their way back to camp, sunpaw saw the same eyes as the night before."it's nothing to worry about."she thought.but she wasn't so sure...

   ~Chapter 2~

sunpaw padded over to the fresh kill pile for dinner, and then went over to say hi to her mom, bloodheart.then she went over to the apprentices' den and curled up in her moss patch and went sound asleep.she had a dream about those creepy eyes, but luckily she woke up just before the scary part where the eyes eat her.she went to the fresh kill pile and saw reapingpaw."Good morning, reapingpaw."said sunpaw."good morning."said reapingpaw over a full mouth.once the cats were done with their meals, they crossed the camp to their mentors, rockypelt, and lepordpaw."Today we are doing hunting rounds."Said nightberry.the cats went into the forest and started hunting."Be very still and quiet when you catch mice, because they can  feel you."whispered robintail.sunpaw followed the directions and -

Leaped at a mouse."I caught it."Said sunpaw."I caught one too."Said reapingpaw."now let's work on rabbits."Said rockypelt."rabbits can hear you, so be very quiet."said nightberry.Sunpaw  crept up on a rabbit, then pounced!It got away, but she tried again."I got it this time!"she said."good job!"said robintail."let's go back to camp, it's getting late."Said rockypelt.as they went back, she saw the eyes."You go into camp, I need to do something."murmured sunpaw.She approached the eyes and whispered;"who are you?"A cat rose up from the bushes.No cat she'd ever seen before.it was not a thunderclan cat."A shadowclan spy!"she thought.Sunpaw raced into camp to alert morningrose, the deputy."morningrose!There is a shadowclan spy watching our camp!he is right outside right now!"shouted sunpaw.she and the deputy went out to see the spy.the spy slashed morningrose across his side and said;"darkpedal says we shall go to battle tomorrow at dawn, so watch your backssss..."Then he ran away."I'll go alert leafstar, you go give the elders some of-

your prey."said morningflower.sunpaw padded to the elders' den."here you go."she said giving them most of the meat.as she walked to the apprentices' den, she started to feel a little bit worried.she slept poorly that night.Her dreams were of the deaths of lepordpaw, reapingpaw, robintail, bloodheart, and herself.All of their last words were:"i don't want to fall into starclan!"and that was it.But what she didn't know was there would be one death.The death of morningflower.
