"Wake up Lucy! you are late again" said Lucy's mom. Lucy had heard the sizzling and crackling of her breakfast being made, and that gave her comfort.

Lucy calmly gets out of bed and drags her feet towards the bathroom to get ready as if she had no worry whatsoever.

Lucy heads to the kitchen to enjoy her breakfast. While Lucy eats, her mother begins to pack Lucy's backpack, gym clothes, and lunch bag.

The time has come, time to go to school. Lucy gets in the car and waits patiently for her mom to finish getting her stuff ready for school and get everything loaded into the car for her.

During gym class, Lucy's friend Elysia had to sit out and miss a fun game of dodgeball. Elysia forgot to bring her gym clothes and was not allowed to participate.

"Could never be me" said Lucy to Elysia

"Just tell your mom to remember to pack your gym clothes tomorrow" Elysia looked at Lucy in confusion.

It's lunch time! Lucy cannot wait to see what her mom has packed for lunch. "That smells good!" says Elysia.

On the way home, Lucy tells her mom about her day. She tells her about her friend Elysia and how she could not play during gym class. That's when Lucy's mom got the idea. 

The next morning, Lucy's mom prepared breakfast as usual and packed Lucy's lunch, she then placed it on the counter and she waited.

Lucy could smell her breakfast, but she did not get up. She waited and waited for her mom to come tell her to wake up. Her mom never came.

"What! My breakfast is served and mom did not wake me. It is super late"

"Lucy, you are late! Let's go!" yelled her mom from outside. Lucy quickly grabbed her backpack and headed out worried about being late to school.

"You have everything you need?" asked Mom.

"Yes, let's go! class already started!" said Lucy.

Lucy arrives to class late, and when she enters, everybody stares at her. "Why are you late?" asked Mr. Aplebotom. The class is focused on Lucy waiting for a response.
