Living the life of a house cat is not easy. The people living there. People who don't live there. Food on the floor. (Actually, the food on the floor is okay. I just don't like getting it on my fur or paws) Dogs. And, oh, tell me about the "hugs"! They feel more like choke holds. I live with two adults, Karen and Nate. They have four kids. The youngest,
which is one year old, is named Elizabeth. Her family calls her Eliza. The second youngest is Kara. She's four and a half. The middle kid is Isabella, or just Bella. She is eight. The oldest, she is Angela. Her age is eleven. She cares for me and named me. By the way, I am Ember. I have been living with this family for two years now. They also
have a golden retriever, named Buddy. Okay, I know my name is weird, but Buddy?!!? That's officially the worst name ever. "Buddy!" calls Kara. Buddy sprints over to Kara like if she is offering him a steak. Instead, she throws him a ball. Buddy runs after it, catching it in his mouth before it touches the ground. He grabs the ball, and gives
it to Kara. This goes on for hours. Buddy is four years, just two years older than me. Buddy knows that me and him do not get along. He can go pester another cat with his annoying red ball.

I sleep in Angela's room. Her room is light blue and white. She has a neat little cabinet, which she places all her clothes. The jewelry goes on top of the cabinet, along with all her accessories. Her bed is with light blue sheets and white pillows. She also has a shelf for her books, and a desk for her crafts and drawing. I sleep next to the shelf.
Most of the rooms upstairs are light and blue, except for the bathrooms and the movie room. Buddy is Bella's pet. Bella was begging for a pet, and Karen and Nate got her a dog. So Buddy (Thankfully) sleeps in Bella's room.
We live by the sea, so we have access to many places. One of the places we go a lot is the beach. I love the beach, with its cool breeze and salty water. When I am allowed to go to the beach, I like jumping in the waves. Many cats don't like water, but I guess I am different. Angela was surprised to find out. Buddy goes and swims into the deep area,
and comes with sand and wet, stinky, fur. This bothers Nate since Buddy shakes himself in the car and spreads sand and water everywhere. That's why me and Buddy don't go to the beach much, because we make a mess, and I guess they found out it's easier to let Buddy and me in the house than bringing us along.
