To prepare for a trip to space, there is a lengthy process. According to Harvard Gazette, “Commercial astronauts often receive more generalized training that covers the basics of space travel and safety/emergency procedures.” This means that astronauts have to do serious training that helps with the basics of traveling to space. For example, they have to practice things like protocols and emergency procedures. The next step to preparing for a trip to Mars is“Anyone who spends prolonged periods in space will need to spend a lot of their day working out to keep their bodies in strong shape to be healthy when they return home.” The quote is stating that astronauts need to work out daily to stay in shape so they can return home healthy. This is important because if they don’t exercise, then their body is gonna weaken, and they're not gonna be healthy when they come back to earth.

How to Prepare for a Trip to Space

Communication happens when energy moves from one place to another because, according to the article, it states that, “Like ocean waves, electromagnetic waves move energy, in this case from an electric charge from one point to another.” This means energy moves from one place to another, like ocean waves. This answers the question by stating how the words travel to one another. People on earth and people in space communicate with sound waves, and evidence shows that “Sound waves are mechanical waves that can’t travel through the vacuum of space, and they need a medium to travel through(Air, water, etc) This means that Sound waves need a medium to travel, and they can’t travel through the vacuum of space. Both types of energy can help us communicate by moving energy around, but they are still a little different

There are many reasons why NASA never sent anyone to Mars yet, and here are some examples. The passage says that, “There are several obstacles that we still need to overcome before sending a human mission to the planet, including technological innovation and a better understanding of the human body, mind, and how we might adapt to life on another planet.” So before humans travel to Mars, NASA has to solve some problems, like technological innovation, and learn more about the human body/mind. This is important because it shows that sending humans to Mars is a tough challenge. It is because they have to go through brutal training. Another challenge for NASA is, “Getting to Mars’ orbit is only half the battle. The other challenge is landing on the Red Planet safely, though not necessarily in one piece.” This means getting to land on Mars and getting into Mars orbit is going to be a challenge. This is important because the spacecraft's landing is very difficult, and if something goes wrong, it could cause serious problems.
