One day, a girl named Sophia and her 

mom, Katherine, go to the store to go grocery shopping for food. Sophia is happy skipping beside her!

Mommy look!

As Sophia strolls down the street, she 

takes a pause. She comes across a pet

store. Sophia loves animals, she wants

to look in the window, she shows her mom this cute puppy in the window.

Awe, mom this puppy looks so sad

Sophia sees the brown puppy. She stops and the puppy barks at her. 

She starts to feel bad for the puppy because the puppy looks sad and has no home. She wishes she could bring him home.

They go into the village to get some food at the store.  Sophia walks slowly on the path and keeps her head down.

Sophia and her mom carry on with their day. Sophia's mom goes to grab some fruit and some other things. "Sophia, wanna help me pick out some food items you like?." Sophia says, "Im too tired." Katherine looks at Sophia and notices her sad behavior.

"Sophia, whats wrong honey?" Sophia doesn't answer but she has a frown on her face.

"Sophia, you know you can tell me if something is upsetting you," Katherine says in a low voice. "I'm just sad," says Sophia. 

"Why are you sad?" Katherine looks confused. She doesn't know why Sophia became sad. 

They go to checkout as they're talking. Sophia says, "I really miss that puppy at the shelter. I feel so bad. The puppy has no home. Katherine looks at Sophia, " Oh honey, that puppy needs a home, maybe we can give him a home for your birthday in a couple of days!" Sophia's eyes widen.

Sophia is so happy. She goes back to the store to put the puppy on hold for her for when her birthday comes up in 3 days.
