Introduction
Hi, my name is Professor Vandoran.
I work at the Time Travel Museum of
North America as the head scientist
in time travel research. Some people
may describe me as smart, sharp,
kind, a good dresser, very social,
and a tall, thin man.

For years I dreamt of purchasing a red Lamborghini.
I finally bought this car in late March. After reading
the manual I discovered when I press the brake
pedal and shift it into reverse at the same time it
transforms into a time machine.
It didn't take long for the news of my time traveling
car to leak to my friends and my boss. Later that
morning my boss called me in to his office to tell me
about his idea to expand the museum. The idea is
to build a geological time park to resurrect extinct
species and attract more visitors to the museum.

At the conclusion of the meeting I
understood my task is to assemble a team
then journey to the ice age and cretaceous
periods and bring back species that could
thrive in our modern world.
I was so excited I found it hard to sleep and
think at work. All I could think about was
going to the past to bring back specimens. I
have so many questions, what will I bring
back? Who do I take with me? When will I
go? Will my time traveling car work?

Chapter 1
ICE AGE
I asked my most trusted colleagues Gunter and Frink to
accompany me on this adventure. Gunter is a
horticulturist and will be able to decide on the plants to
bring back home. Frink is an expert in the field of
paleontology. His expertise will make sure we bring back
only those animals that can survive here.
When we got out to the car Gunter's question to me was
"does this car actually work." I said “I guess we will find
out." I tuned the clock in the radio to 150,000 years BC,
put the car in reverse and pressed down on the brake
pedal at the same time.
All of a sudden there was a bright light that blinded us.
The car felt like it was spinning and I thought I would
throw up.
by Nolan
We were going to step out of the car when we have a close
encounter with a woolly mammoth, but luckily it passed by
not even noticing us. We made it, we have reached the ice
age! We landed on a large, rocky glacier. We thought that
we were going to fall when we started to tip sideways so we
bolted out of the car.

The air was cold and crisp. In
the distance we noticed a
meadow with less snow. There
was a river close by where we
could get water. We ventured
over to the grassy area to set
up camp. Night was falling and
darkness was setting in. We
agreed to set up camp by the
river and will resume our
journey tomorrow.

We woke up in the morning and noticed the temperature was
warmer. The reading on the thermometer registered -7C. The
landscape was jagged and rough with a few clumps of spruce
trees and forested areas. We followed the river for a few
miles from camp, and saw ingrained in the rock was a leaf of
a menstrual plant. Frink was overjoyed as he has been
searching for this fossil for years. He noticed a deep crack
just above the fossil and gently pulled it away from the rocky
surface. Frink carefully wrapped it in cloth and placed it in his
backpack to take home. Further up the pathway we
discovered an ocean inlet. The water was clear, deep and
clean allowing us to see the salmon swimming.

Mold Fossil
This type of fossil shows an
impression of an organism in rock.
This type of fossil can be a
negative image of an animal, plant
or other organism.
Once an organism has been
dissolved away this type of fossil is
left behind.
Scientists can use plaster in order
to make a cast fossil from this
fossil type.
Menstrual leaf

We heard splashing and turned to see a short
faced bear fishing for salmon. The noise we
were making startled the bear and when it
turned towards us it was tall enough to look us
in the eyes. The bear was approximately 6 feet
tall at the shoulders with shaggy brown hair and
smelled terrible. Because the bear was about
2000 lbs Gunter had to shoot it with the
tranquilizer gun and once it was asleep we
clipped on the teleportation collar to transport it
back to the time machine. As this bear is
omnivorous and a cousin to our modern day
bear the food sources of today would be able to
sustain this animal. So we didn't need to bring
back any special food.

The short faced bear went extinct around 11,700
years ago because larger herbivores died off and
the rise of modern day bears created competition
for food.
We couldn't believe our luck in finding this
creature so easily and are very excited to have it
in our exhibit at the new theme park.
We noticed the sun was starting to set so we
headed back to camp and loaded our car. We
figured since we had some time left we would
jump back to the museum to drop off our bear as
it would be waking up soon. Using the time
bubble we were able to transport the bear without
putting it in the trunk.

Chapter 2
CRETACEOUS PERIOD
We entered the museum and placed the bear in it's
display. When finished with the bear, we got ready for
our next trip to the cretaceous time period. Getting
out to the car, I noticed that we need more supplies.
Supplies like a gun, more tranquilizers, and a collar fit
for a T-Rex. We piled into the car and set the time on
the clock to 72 million years BC. Putting my foot on
the brake pedal, I shifted into reverse and saw the
same bright light as we felt the car spinning again.

When the car stopped spinning, we were
surrounded by a tropical rain forest. Populated by
trees, flowering plants, birds and insects the
scenery was a beautiful sight. We opened the car
door and were instantly struck by the difference in
the atmosphere rather than North America circa
2015. Air escaped our lungs as we felt the heat we
all knew we were not familiar of. It came clear that
we would have trouble breathing in what seemed
to be thin air.

Following the direction of the sun we
headed east. 45 minutes into our journey
we find a clearing and see pteranodon's
flying everywhere, ankylosaurus feeding
on the plants as well as many other
dinosaurs. When we were walking
Gunter discovered a rare extinct
flowering plant called Archaefructus.
Quickly, he removes a clay pot and
shovel from his bag and places the
flower in the clay pot. Picking up his
pack he notices a clump of something
behind a large fern like plant. He moves
the plant and is surprised to see a true
form fossil of a dinosaur nest. Excitedly
he call us over and we remove it and
place it gently in the backpack.
