Mrs. Ladybird Johnson played a

enjoy year after year.

the seige at the Alamo to raise the spirits of
those fighting.

by Jim Bowie in 1830.

~People still make a version
the Bowie knife today.
~The length of the Bowie Knife

The Bowie Knife achieved fame in the sandbar duel in 1827 when Jim Bowie killed
a man.
