Nellie had no idea where she was when she woke
up. Well actually she knew where she was, she was on
a ledge overlooking a, well a, whatever that place was.
She thought she was going crazy, and really she
had to be right, because, honestly who wakes up
looking at a bunch of huge floating rocks with castles
on them.
"I am crazy," she thought out loud, " Or maybe I
am just hallucinating, because I haven't had enough
water,"
"Nope," said a voice behind her, "We see it too,"
She turned around, but all she saw was a little patch of
purple flowers.

Okay, she thought to herself, i'm definitely crazy.
But the flowers continued to talk to her. At the end of a
very long story, they said, "Bend down and look at us
we can't tell our stories if you can't see us,"
So she bent down thinking that she would regret
doing this. At the very least she would get her dress
dirty, but as she got closer, she saw it was really two
tiny flower shaped men.
She almost laughed out loud. She really was crazy.
But she would play along with this game.
"Can you help me get out of this place?" she asked.
"Why would you want to get out!" they exclaimed.
"Look," she said "I just want to go home, can you
help me?

"Of course we can," they said, "Just walk over
the land you see right now and at the end there will
be a lot of blackness that you can't see through at
all, and we want you to jump in it,"
"Wait a minute," she interrupted, "You want me
to jump in something that I can't even see
through?"
"Yep," they said together, "Anyway after that
you will end up at the sea of peaches, you will have
to walk across the peaches without getting yourself
killed and then you will go to the sparkle caves, then
the waters of the forgotten and beg the giants to
send you home.
"What!" she exclaimed "You want me to do all
that?"
"Yep," they said together.

So Nellie started off on her journey. She took
one step and turned around to say goodbye to the
flowers, but the one step she took had taken her
across half of the land. She tried to take another
step, but this time she only went about an inch.
It is a magical land, she realized, I can't control
how fast or far I go. So she went on going from fast
to slow, long to short.
It was a long trip seeing how every time she
needed to go far she went backwards and every time
she wanted to take it slow she went so fast she
could hardly see. When she finally reached the
darkness she was so worn out that she had to sit
before she even thought about jumping.

When she finally got enough rest and summoned
up enough courage, she jumped. It would have been
horrible for anyone who was scared of the dark.
Luckily she had always been fond of dark places,
but this scared even her a little bit. The darkness was
utterly complete. She couldn't see through it at all. It
was smothering her, drowning her, suffocating her. Her
eyes strained to see through the darkness, but it was
hopeless so she just started half swimming half
walking through the darkness. After what seemed like
hours, she noticed the darkness was fading away. Once
it was completely light she saw a big orange ball above
her and a ladder hanging down from it.

Once she got closer, she realized that they were
really huge peaches. The sea of peaches, she realized.
She climbed up the ladder and saw that on top of the
peaches there were houses.
She almost went into the house, but then she
remembered the flowers warning. Don't get killed is
what they had said, which meant that the houses
must be dangerous. But still, it did seem like a good
idea.
She decided to take a quick peek in one of the
houses. It was abandoned. "Not that dangerous," she
said out loud, but something was telling her to get out
of here, to run. She stuck with her instincts and ran as
fast as she could across the bridge, then the next one,
then the next.

When she finally got off the sea of peaches, she
looked back and saw the whole chain of peaches was
being set on fire by two huge dragons.
Whew she thought to herself I could have been
dragon roast. She turned back and saw a small path
leading into the woods. She followed the path for a
while and saw a cave.
Finally, she thought to herself, I'm at the cave. She
ran inside and saw the most breath taking sight ever.
Thousands of floating, glowing spears shed a soft light
around the cave. It looked like a lot of pretty blue stars.
She could go on or she could sit here in the pale
blue light. "No" she said to herself "If I am seeing this it
means that I am not crazy and that I have a home to
go back to.
