Aa
Atlantic Ocean
The Atlantic Ocean is the second largest of the
world's oceanic divisions and it is home to many fish
and other underwater life animals.












Bb
Blow Fish
Blow fishes are one of the many different fishes
you can find in the ocean and they are one of the
slowest swimmers! They are called blow fish
because when they are in danger, they blow up
to look stronger and to protect themselves from
predators.


Cc
Crab
Crabs can live on land but need to keep
there gills moist, which is why they are
mostly found on beaches. Crabs have teeth
in their stomachs!












Dd
Dolphin
Dolphins are mammals and breathe air just like
we do. They also like to jump out of the water
when swimming!




Ee
Eel
Eels are elongated fish that are nocturnal.
Eels live in caves and rocks under the ocean.

Fish
There are many fishes that live underwater.
Fishes come in different, shape, sizes, and
colors.

Gg
Giant Squid
Giant squids have the largest eyes in the animal
kingdom. Their eyes measure 10 inches in diameter!
With these huge eyes, they can detect other fishes
that are in dark places of the ocean.




Hh
Hammerhead Shark
They have white bellies with large hammer-like
heads that gives them the name of the
hammerhead shark. They typically swim near
the bottom of the Ocean.


Ii
Ice Fish
Ice Fish are found in Antarctica. They can survive
temperatures that are freezng from -2 Celsius.





Jj
Jelly Fish
Jellyfish have
stinging cells in
their tentacles to
stun their prey.
Jellyfish stings can
be painful to
humans and very
dangerous!


Kk
Killer Whale
Orcas are known as killer whales. They use
ther black and white skin as camouflage when
hiding from their prey or when they are
hunting.


Ll
Lobster
Lobsters have strong claws! Lobsters
can swim forwards and backwards.


Mm
Manta Rays
Manta rays only live in tropical,
subtropical and temperate waters of the
Atlantic oceans. Out of all of the fishes n
the ocean, manta rays have the largest
brain!





Nn
Nurse Shark
Nurse sharks have smooth skin and have
thousands sharp teeth arranged in rows
that rotate when a tooth is broken. They
stay on the sea floor in warm waters.


Oo
Octopus
octopuses have three hearts. Two hearts are
used to pump blood to each of the octopuses
lungs and the third heart s to pump blood
throughout the body. They also could squirt ink
when defending themselves by making a cloud
of black ink where predators wont see the
octopus escape.





Pp
Plankton
Plankton is a drifting organism that lives
in the middle and upper levels of the
ocean. Plankton makes up the first layer
of the oceanic food chain.
