Once upon a time there was an adorable little
girl named Drusilla. But Drusilla wasn’t like
other girls, she was a vampire! Her mother
was also a vampire but her father was sadly a
mortal man. This meant that he could not live
with Drusilla and her mother because they
might get hungry for a midnight snack. So
Drusilla and her mother lived happily together.

One day at school Drusilla and her other vampire friends
were learning about their ancestors and making family
trees. All of her friends had vampire dads and Drusilla
felt very left out. She didn’t even know who her dad was.
After they were all finished making their family trees and
they went home, Drusilla asked her mother, Natalia, who
her father was. Natalia said that Drusilla’s father,
William, had been killed by a vampire slayer only a few
weeks after Drusilla had told him that she was pregnant.
But when Natalia told her this, she wouldn’t look Drusilla
in the eye and Drusilla found this very suspicious. So the
next day Drusilla went to go see her very old
grandmother, Gwendoline, to ask her about her father.

Gwendoline heard a knock on her door and answered it to find
Drusilla. She made Drusilla’s favorite snack, scream cheese and
they sat in the parlor. Drusilla asked Gwendoline who her father
was and Gwendoline told her that Her father was actually a mortal
man who had been in love with her mother. Her mother knew that
they could have no future together unless she turned him into a
vampire and she refused to do that just yet. They continued seeing
each other in secret until Natalia became pregnant. She told
William and told him that she would be willing to turn him into a
vampire so he could live with her and their child, but William was
afraid, so he ran away. He tried to contact her last year and tell her
that he was ready to be a father and ready to transform into a
vampire but she told him that she would not let him and not to
contact her family again. He obeyed and Natalia hadn’t heard from
him since. Drusilla then told Gwendoline what Natalia had told her
about her father and Gwendoline told Drusilla that Natalia had been
lying.

Drusilla told Gwendoline that she wanted to meet her father
so Gwendoline gave her the letter from William that she had
received about a year ago. The letter had his address, 12
Morehampton Rd., Dublin, Ireland, and Gwendoline tells
Drusilla that she should meet her father and sends her on
her way.

Drusilla went home and packed a bag with plenty of
clothes, money, and food to last her a while. She
left a note for her mother and headed out to her
grandmother’s house. Gwendoline gave her a bag of
bagels and scream cheese along with a few other
items and sent her on her way, wishing her good
luck. Drusilla walked to the caravan station and got
on the first train going to Dublin, Ireland. The train
ride took a few hours but she eventually arrived in
Dublin and headed to the address. She was very
nervous to meet her father and was shaking when
she went to knock on his door.

A woman answered and Drusilla was very
confused. She asked the woman if William lived
there. The woman said that there was a man
named William who had sold her the house. He
said that he was going to America to become rich.
Drusilla was devastated at first but when the
woman gave Drusilla the city name that her father
said he was moving to. She said that he would be
moving to New York City, the largest city in
America.

Drusilla thanked the woman and was on
her way to buy a vessel ticket to America.
Once she bought the ticket she wrote
another letter to her grandmother and then
found a hotel to rest in for the night.

Drusilla woke up very early in the morning
missing her mother and her grandmother. But
she knew that she was doing the right thing
and that she had chosen the right path. Her
ship would board at eight A.M. and she would
need to be there an hour early to get a good
spot on the boat.

When Drusilla got to the boat she boarded but
there were already hundreds of people on the
boat. It was hard for her to find a spot on the
boat but eventually a mother with her many
children told Drusilla that she could take one of
their cradle and they could share. Drusilla
was very grateful and began talking to the
family. They were very kind to her and she
made friends with them very quickly. The ship
sailed for about 2 months and finally she
landed on Ellis Island.

William had just been settled in his very small house
along with many other families and had gotten a job
at a meatpacking plant. He was not very happy
but he was living and knew he knew that eventually
he would be able to eat much more than he had
been eating in Ireland due to the potato famine. He
had left behind many of his friends but knew that he
had to go. Over 1.5 million people had died in the
Great Hunger and he didn’t want to be a part of
those numbers He was missing his friends and his
old town in Dublin but most of all he was missing
Natalia and wondering what his daughter was like
now.

Drusilla had gotten off the boat and was now
overwhelmed by the busy atmosphere of Ellis
Island. There were families being separated,
babies crying, and a tenseness in the air.
Drusilla knew that she would be able to pass
all of the health tests because vampires can
never be sick and since she was half mortal
she still had a beating heart and looked human
enough. She passed the many tests and finally
was off Ellis Island in a record time of 2 days.

Drusilla was now headed to New York City and decided that she
would write to her mother and grandmother.
“Dear Mom and Grandma,
I just made it to America. Apparently William had to sell his
house because he didn’t have enough money from his potato
crops to live there anymore. The boat ride was long and hard
and so was going through Ellis Island, where they’re screening
all the immigrants that are coming into America, but I am now
going to New York City where William is supposed to be. It’s
going to be hard to find him and it may take many years but I
want you both to know that I love you so much and not to worry
about me. I’m doing well and can’t wait to find my dad.”
Love,
Drusilla

William was working at his job at a meatpacking plant and
was working in the underbuilding There were many other
men there who he got to know pretty quickly. One man
inparticular stuck out to him. His name was Giles. He was
a bit paler than the other men and for a while there was
something very off about him. One night both of their
shifts ended at the same time and they walked to their
houses together. They were both very tired and William
asked Giles why he was so pale. Giles started laughing
very hard and William saw his vampire fangs glinting in his
mouth. William was astonished and asked Giles if he was a
vampire. Giles said yes, he was, but he was a very tame
vampire and he wouldn’t bite. William and Giles said
goodbye and went their separate ways.

does any one know william from Ireland?

Drusilla got to New York City but no one could help her
find her dad and she didn’t know anything about him
except for his first name and where he came from and
that was not very much to go on. She had to get a job
at a textile company as a child laborer. She worked
very long hours and hardly got paid enough to help the
family she had moved in with pay for rent in their walk-
up She wanted to give up many times but the thought
of finally meeting her dad kept her going strong.
