Ms. Robins is the teacher at Claire, Becca, and Sean’s
Preschool. On the first day of school Ms. Robins said,
“Gather around kids! Today we are going to play dress up!
Pick one or two people to play with at each station and
make new friends.”

Claire looks at Sean and says,
“Sean would you like to play pirates with me?”
Sean says, “YES! Sounds like fun.”

Sean looks and finds nothing.

On the pirate ship...Claire says, “Let’s go find the treasure!”Sean says, “Let’s look at the treasure map!
It says that the treasure is here on this ship!”Claire says, “Is it in this room?
Is it under the table?”Claire says, “Maybe it’s on the dock!”
Sean says, “Let’s check it out!”

On the dock…

Sean says, “Look there’s enough
treasure for the both of us!”
Claire says, “But I saw the
treasure first, that means
I get to keep all of the treasure.”
Sean says, “That’s not fair
Claire you have to share!”
Claire then exclaims, “Look Sean! X marks the spot!”
They find the treasure under the floor boards.Sean searches and says, “It’s not by either of the cannon balls!”Claire asks, “Is it by the cannon with
3 cannon balls or is it by the cannon
with 1 cannon ball?

The teacher overhears their argument and says to Claire,
“Claire, dearie, you have to share the treasure with Sean.”
Claire stomps her foot and says,
“But I found the treasure first and I want it all for myself!”
Ms. Robins says, “No Claire.
When you play with friends you have to share.”
Claire says, “Fine!”

Claire looks for someone else to play with.
Claire says, “Becca, do you want to
play magic castle with me?”
Becca says, “Sure! That sounds like fun!”

The two princesses, Claire and Becca,
go searching for the magic mirror!In the castle…Claire says, “I’ll look over here!”Becca says,
“Okay I’ll look
over there!”

Becca yells, “I found the magic mirror!”
Claire says, “I want to see it!”Becca yells,
“No I found
it I get
to look at it all
by myself!”

Claire is very happy that
Becca wants to share
with her and now
she understands that
she should have
shared with Sean too.

Ms. Robins comes over and says, “Becca you have to
share with Claire. Just because you found the mirror
first does not mean you can keep it all to yourself.” Becca says, “I’m sorry
Claire. We can play with
the mirror together.”
