Bob Get’s Sick
It was school day and Bob did not want to go. He really did not want to go.
The reason was that today was Maths exams and he did not learn anything. He needed a plan to not go to school. Think Bob, think, he thought. A plan shot up in his mind. I’ve got it. He will pretend to be sick and not go to school. “Come on, Bob”, came a voice from the room. “Get up”, continued the voice.
Bob picked his head up. Ben stood by the doorway, with his school bag on. “Err...I am very sick”, said Bob, in the most sick voice he could. “You don’t sound, sick”, said Ben. “You don’t have to sound sick, to be sick”, bellowed Bob. “Oh”, said Ben. “Tell, Mum I am sick”, said Bob.
“Ok”, said Ben. He ran downstairs and told. Mum came into the room. “What’s the matter”, she asked. “I have a flue”, said Bob. Mum felt his forehead. “Are you sure?” asked Mum. “Yes”, said Bob.

“Ok, stay home today”, said Mum. “Ok, Mum”, said Bob. “By the way can you bring me some biscuits and some cookies with milk”, asked Bob. “Coming right up”, said Mum, running down the stairs. “So, guess I am going alone to school”, said Ben, sadly.
“Guess you are”, said Bob, smiling. “Hoot, hoot”, sounded the school bus from outside. “Bye”, said Ben, waving. Bob never reply. Mum came in the room with a platter containing biscuits, cookies and a glass of milk. Bob never say anything.

He grabbed the platter and started eating like a wild dog. “Oh”, said Mum. “You really were very hungry?” Once again Bob never say anything. Mum walked out. “Mum!” screamed Bob, eating the last crumb. “Could you get me the TV, so I won’t be board?” “Ok”, said Mum. After 2 minutes she brought the TV.

Bob relaxed, changed the channel to Heroes Rule and watched. This was the life. He could do this for like a month and skip school! He could not go to school for his whole life! All he needed to do was pretend to be sick. He watched TV for 3 hours. After that, there were no more good channels on. So he asked, Mum for the laptop. Mum brought it.

He played games for 5 hours. By this time it was lunch. Mum gave him lunch in bed. He gobbled it up. He carried on playing games. He played for 3 hours. By this time it was dinner. He got dinner in bed. He gobbled it up. He got board. So he spoke to Ben. Ben just spoke about fairies and nice stuff. Believe me Bob hated nice stuff.
Bob started to get board and forgot all about, being sick. He got up from bed and walked downstairs. “Aren’t you sick?” asked Mum, slowly. Bob did not know what to say. “Err....yes, but I am feeling better now”. He was such an idiot. How could he forget about, being sick? “Oh”, said Mum. “That’s good”. Bob kept quiet. He went back upstairs.
Guess my plan was a failure, he thought. Wait a minute. Just wait one minute. He could pretend that he got sick again. Hmmm, I wonder what kind of day tomorrow will be, he thought, rubbing his hands together. The next day came. Bob was about to tell, Ben that he was sick, when he heard someone talking loud downstairs.
He crept out of the room and peeped downstairs. It was Mrs. Dragon Breath, the principal of the school. “He missed an important exam!” she shouted. “But he was sick”, said Mum. “I don’t care”, said Mrs DB. “Call him now and tell him to get ready for school”. “Bobby!”, yelled Mum. Bob rushed into bed. “Yes, Mum?” he asked. “Come down here now”, replied Mum. Bob went downstairs.
Mrs DB glared at him. “What happened, yesterday?” “I was sick”, said Bob. “If you were sick than how did you play Heroes Rule on your laptop? She asked. “I did not”, said Bob. “Heroes Rule, is an online game, which you play with other real players?” “Am I right?” “Yes”, said Bob. “If you did not play it than how did you play with my son online?” asked Mrs DB. Bob was busted.
