Hi my name is Magnesium. I mainly live in the ocean. Sometimes I may live in the earth's crust but I have to live with my friends such as Oxygen, Calcium, or Carbon because I am highly reactive.

Some interesting things about me are that I have 2 electrons in my outer shell. I am a gray color. My high melting point makes me stronger and more durable than other elements. My symbol is Mg and I have an atomic number of 12 and a mass of 24.305g

Some more about me is that I am an alkaline earth metal. My density is 1.738 g/cm cubed. My melting point is 650 Celsius while my boiling point is 1,107 Celsius.

Here's a little bit about my childhood. I was first discovered in 1808 in a Greek city called Magnesia, which is where my name comes from. I was discovered by Sir Humphrey Davy.

There's a few elements that I don't get along with... Some acids, the halogens, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, and especially the compound water. There's always a mess when we're together...

I am currently looking for a job. I am really good at making flares and photographic flashbulbs, missiles, car seats, luggage, laptops, power tools, cameras, and even some medicine. I form an alloy with aluminium to make airplanes.

So that's a little bit about me. I live a pretty useful life. I help a lot of people make things that they can use in their everyday life. But at the end of the day I'm just your ordinary element.
