Vocabulary

Atoms- Small circle shaped objects that are in all types of all states of mater.

Solids

Solids are everything around us, similar to Mr. Ball. Atoms in Mr. Ball are tightly packed together. Because they are packed tightly together, the atoms can keep the shape of Mr. Ball.

Some solids can be melted in to a liquid( on the next page) some liquid like water can be frozen in to a solid if Mr.Ball was made out of gold if you heated him up a lot he will melt.

Liquid

My name is Water, and I am something that you use everyday. I can be used as something to keep you healthy. My family have all different jobs as well. My brothers are the waters that falls from the sky. They help the flowers grow. While my sisters are part of the water that you use to keep clean. My parents are what keeps the animals that lives in the ocean alive.

There's something in us that makes us what we are. It's something that makes us different from others. It's the atoms in us which only has a bit of space in between and unlike solid we are able to slide past each other. We move a bit more than solids can. We can't have a exact shape, so you'll never see us as exactly the same. My family take the shape of what holds it, but no matter what we will always have the same amount no matter the shape. After, being in the heat we turn into... GAS!
