What is a battery?
It's a device that stores energy until it is needed. The energy in the battery is stored in the form of chemicals. Once a battery is being used, the chemical energy changes into electric energy and the battery is a source of power.

A remote control needs power from batteries to operate.

What is a complete circuit?

In a complete circuit, electrons flow from the source of electric energy to the load, and then back to the source. The load is the consumer of electric energy. Take a look at the diagram below! Electrons from the battery flow through the circuit, supplying to the light bulb and and then flow back to the source.

In order for this lamp to light up, the electrical energy must be flowing through a complete circuit.
What are conductors of electricity?

Electric currents can flow through certain materials. Those materials are conductors of electricity! Copper, aluminum, silver and gold are all conductors of electricity.
A commonly-used conductor of electricity is copper. Think of how electricity can flow through it while it is used in a wire.

What is an electrical charge?

An electrical charge is an amount of electricity related to the balance of protons (positively charged) and electrons (negatively charged) in an object.

When you walk across the carpet and then touch a metal doorknob, you might receive a small shock. Electrons from the carpet give you a negative electrical charge. When you touch the doorknob, you transfer some electrons to the doorknob, and this causes the shock.
What is an electrical circut?
This is a path through which electrons from an electric energy source flow. Take a look at the diagram below!

An electrical circuit is the path through which electric energy flows to give power to electronics!

What is an electrical current?

That's the flow of the electric charge through a circuit!

When you plug something into an electrical outlet, an electrical current travels through the circuit. The cord you plug in is the conductor!
What are electrical insulators?

Unlike conductors of electricity, these are materials that electricity cannot pass through easily.

Materials like rubber, glass, air, plastic and wood are good insulators.
What is an incomplete circuit?

This is a circuit through which no electric current flows.
