Once upon a time, there was a very naughty boy called Henry. He always did the opposite of whatever his parents or teachers wanted. He never studied at home and never paid attention in the class. Henry's parents never looked over what Henry did. His best friend, Jack, was also the same as Henry. The both always played mischief with everyone. No one liked Henry and Jack. But when it was exam time, Henry studied for it just the day before exams started, and always got good marks. Everyone was surprised, that such a naughty boy scores such good marks. Even Henry's parents also were surprised at this ! But on days where there was no test, Henry was always playing with Jack.

Most of the days of Henry's childhood, he spent playing with Jack. Actually, Jack was Henry's family friend, so the both knew each other well. Henry's mother always spent her time going to the parlours, and Henry's father was so busy in his office work that he did not know how naughty Henry was. One day, Henry and Jack pulled a girl called Amanda's hair so badly, that half of her hair came out. Henry and Jack's parents were called to school. The Principal gave them a last warning, and made Henry and Jack say sorry to Amanda.

The next day, in the playground, only Henry was alone, and all the girls were playing. Jack didn't come as he was ill. Then Henry decided to fool the girls. He said that there was a lion in the playground and he saw it. All the girls immediately ran back to the villages and told their parents. Their parents knew that Henry had fooled them once again.

Let me fool the girls.

Then all the mothers decided to go to Henry's home and complain to his mother. But Henry's mother said, "What are you all talking about ? Since the time I came home, I have been seeing my son exercising like a good boy." But in reality, right after Henry fooled the girls, he ran home just in time before his mother came home from the parlour.

What do you mean ? My son is exercising since the time I came !

Henry was troubling our daughters when they came to play.

After Henry's mother said that line, all the girls who came with their mothers were saying to Henry's mother, "No auntie ! He fooled us by saying that there is a lion in the garden." Henry's mother burst out laughing ! Then she said, "Good joke ! Hahaha !" But turning to Henry she said, "Henry, were you fooling them ?" Henry replied, "No mother, I am you sweet son. If I am your son, how can I do such a thing ?" The other mothers said, "Oh really ? Your son is a great actor ! We are letting him go this time, but this should not happen next time. Beware of us, Henry !" Saying that, all the mothers left Henry's barn. Then Henry continued playing with his toy car while laughing.

The next day , Henry's mother gave him a note, saying that it was from Jack. Henry was excited to receive a letter from Jack, as Jack was his best friend. When he opened the letter, the note was written in a very bad handwriting. Henry figured, that Jack wrote the letter to him in a hurry. Henry read the note and told his mother that Jack had called him for camping for a few days. His mother did not bother what Henry did, so she let him go.

Dear Henry, I have to tell you something important. At 12:00am today, come next to Peter William's cave. I have got an investigation for both of us to solve. It will be fun ! Its like camping.

Henry loved mysteries ! He was very excited ! The area next to Peter William's cave was exactly like a forest and good for camping. He was waiting earnestly till it was 12:00am. He packed his bags quickly and left the home at 12:00am. The things Henry carried were : A diary, a pen, his toy truck, his skipping rope, a tent, a few pairs of clothes, a sleeping bag, a torch, a camera, numerous packets of food, a tetra-pack of juice, a lighter and a book on detectives.

On reaching Peter William's cave, Henry told Jack what all he carried. Henry was waiting for Jack to tell him the topic of the mystery, but Jack did not tell him then. After that, they put up their tent and went to sleep.

The next morning, Jack told Henry the topic of the investigation. Jack said, "Henry, last week when I was playing near this cave, I saw footprints of a very large animal, but the animal is not an elephant. After that I kept coming there, and then I saw two men torturing that animal. I heard them say, that the animal was an extinct animal, and the last of its kind in the world. They decided to sell that animal in the market next month. Do you remember that our Geography teacher, Miss Daisy, had taught us that animals are getting extinct due to pollution, hunting and loss of habitats, and we must try our level best to save the animals ?" Then Henry replied, "Yes Jack, I remember. Time to do something heroic !"
