I Am Poem: One Great Guy
I am a tough person
I wonder if I will ever get my dream car
I hear other tuners roar through the streets
I see my dream car at the dealership
I want a Subaru WRX STI
I am passionate to riding dirt bikes
I pretend my car is a race car
I feel appreciative for what my parents do for me
I worry about my health to much
I cry when I think of my passing brother
I am encouraged to do great things in life
I understand the things my dad has been through in the Navy
I dream that one day I will have a beautiful family of my own
I try to be the best I can be
I hope that one day cancer will be cured
I am a man of my word
Bio Poem: Story of My Life
Cameron
Cometic, Smart, Caring, Laidback
Friend of Jared, Kaileb, and Daniel
Lover of my 2018 KX450f, family, and food
Who feels fantastic when I’m at the track, exhausted afterwards, and thankful to be alive
Who needs more money for parts, my own truck instead of a car, and more time to ride
Who gives love to my family, effort in homework, and gas to my bike
Who fears my bike getting stolen or destroyed, spiders, and police pulling me over
Who would like to see a car meet, street race, and a different country
Resident of the United States

Re-Creation Poem: A Cold Night
As we walked down the dark street
Mysterious dogs barked in the blackness of the night
Fog hanging from the trees
Flying insects hissed past my ears
My hands filled my pockets
We entered the creepiest house in the neighborhood
A fire was burning inside for warmth
We were trying to move quietly so no one could hear us
It was hard to let a single breath out without being noticed
I kept my gloves on hoping to stay warm
Select words are from Gary Soto's poem "Oranges"
Stylistic Imitation Poem: Roczen's Crash
At nine in the evening.
It was at nine in the evening.
The gate was dropped, letting out two dozen aggressive riders
at nine in the evening.
The riders banged into each other like wild animals
at nine in the evening.
Roczen was third in the herd through the holeshot
at nine in the evening.
No doubt in his mind that he wasn’t going to get to the podium
at nine in the evening.
Staying in the same position for the first ten minutes
at nine in the evening.
The whoop section had no effect to him
at nine in the evening.
Bright colored gear became brown from the roosted dirt
at nine in the evening.
The second rhythm section after the finish hit him like a brick wall
at nine in the evening.
Coming over the step-off with the wrong footing
at nine in the evening.
The next jump sent him flying off the bike 10 feet in the air
at nine in the evening.
He slammed into the ground
at nine in the evening.
It seemed like he broke every bone in his body
at nine in the evening.
The medical team wheeled him out of the stadium
at nine in the evening.
The road to recovery had started
This was the time that his life had changed
at nine in the evening.
Imitation of Federico Garcia Lorca’s style in his poem “Llanto por Ignacio Sanchez Mejias
Definition Poem: Pursuit of Happiness
Joyfulness: [jȯi-fl], noun, joyful and joyfully
experiencing, causing, or showing joy
When I wake up in the morning to a great breakfast
And I get to drive the nice truck to school
Pass all my quizzes for each class
Turn in homework that took a million hours to finish
Drive home listening to my favorite music
Eat a good lunch when I get home
Ride my dirt bike like a horse in a field
Watch my favorite show to go to bed
Limerick Poem: The Star
There once was super bright star
Who thought he could go so far
Until he fell down
And looked like a clown
He never shredded the gnar

Ode Poem: Ode to Nutella
A burst of heaven, and a hint of hazelnut
You touch my tongue and I am in a daze
Dense and smooth, you taste so good
How do you never fail to amaze?
Eat too much, and you ruin my health
Too little, and I crave more
Oh, Nutella, what would I do without you?
I eat you by the spoonful
You are so rich, so incredibly delicious
Dear Nutella, you are an obsession
I could eat you day and nite and never tire
Why don’t you come in an infinite supply?
Nutella, Nutella, you are the one I desire

Choral Poem: Everyone's Special
Names, Names,
Everyone had them
Some are
Different
Some are
Short
Some are
Long
All are right All are right
None
Are wrong
