George Washington

This story is about an American soldier, farmer, county surveyor, politician, statesman, and 1st president of the United States, George Washington. Whom showed us that they're are no limitations, never.

My education when I was young was being home schooled, although I never went to college I excelled in math, reading, and writing.

My first official career would have to be when I got my first job, as a county surveyor, I was only 17 years old! The youngest of all.

I even started my military career soon after, I now had a position in the Virginia Militia! and was soon sent to the French and Indian War as the given rank Major in the Militia.

Did I mention a year after being ranked as Major I was now commissioned as Lieutenant Colonel?

I was!

As Lieutenant Colonel I was able to successfully attack the French camp at Fort Duquesne which was a huge improvement in the French and Indian War. 

Whats even more interesting thought is my downfall. I was forced to surrender to the French troops at Fort Necessity and let me tell you, I did not like the taste of defeat. However I became a hero for my bravery, for protecting my troops.

However, My journey was not over yet! Although I had loses I had wins as well during the war. I had proven my self to be a excellent leader to the public eye.

In addition, my roles kept changing I was now appointed as commander in chief of all Virginia force! By who? By the one and only governor of Virginia. It was such a honor, I was determined to make the government proud.

After being appointed as Commander in chief in 1755, 3 years later I was able to take care and get rid of the French from Fort Duquesne. Fort Duquesne was freed from the French Troops.

What was next for the American Hero? everyone thought. In 1758 George Washington resigned as colonel and failed to be assigned as a British officer. So I went back home, and started my new career as a farmer.

In 1759, I now went into an additional and different path career. I now went into being a politician as well. I was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses, it was its first of its kind! It was a offer I could not resist. In fact it was such a honor I ended up being there for 15 years.

Now in 1774, I was now moved up to being an elected delegate to the First Continental Congress. A even bigger deal and bigger responsibility it was! Not only that but I was able to make a change and help the United States grow, How exiting!

Soon after, In 1775 I was appointed as General and Commander in Chief of the new army by the second continental congress. So many things happening during this time!
