Dedicated to the men who formed the country we have today, you know who you are.

John Adams was known for several things. One of those is the fact that he defended the British during trial after the Boston Massacre... and won the case.
John was also a part of the First Continental Congress, and during the first meeting he insulted another delegate. This caused him to lose votes.
During his time in the 1st Continental Congress, he helped draft the Declaration of independence.

Adams violated the 1st amendment with the Alien and Sedition Acts. He forbid anyone to talk bad about him, which is freedom of speech.
Adams then became the second president after George Washington, but the first to actually declare war on another country.

1) The vaccination by Edward Jenner created a sense of hesitation among Americans. If the vaccination worked, then Americans felt security knowing they wouldn't get sick now.
2) Lithography- introduced the idea of printing on a flat surface. This allowed Americans to print clearer images and letters. It also developed better communication with the newsletters that were easier to read.
Thomas Jefferson
Jefferson was the true creator of the Declaration of Independence. He drafted 7 different times before the declaration was approved.
He was the Secretary of State during Washington's presidency, and was very firm in following the rules of the Constitution.
When Jefferson was appointed President, he purchased the Louisiana Purchase from Spain.

Jefferson tied with Aaron Burr in the 1812 election, but won when the electoral college voted for him.
He was also the governor of Virginia and had to make very difficult decisions which made this the low point of his political career.

Wheel Cypher- was an encryption device for secret messages (never really took off)
Improved Mouldboard Plow- Jefferson's improved version of a older version of a wheel barrel
John Marshall
Marshall established the Supreme Court's role in the government.
Marshall established judicial review which changed the way cases went through the system.
Marshall was a judge for the Marbury vs. Madison case that first used judicial review.

Adams appointed Marshall to be one of the three men to negotiate with France.
Marshall was the only judge whose distinction as a statesmen derived solely from his judical career.
