How the Industrial Revolution Spread Continued
Many countries were attracted to the fact that all they needed were things such as coal and water to boost their economies. This also led to businesses and companies wanting to expand. The selling of stock became very important to the economy because many businesses needed a quick way of earning large sums of money so they can start large projects like creating more factories or expanding their field.

A Key Invention
The Cotton Gin was invented by Eli Whitney in the year of 1793. The cotton gin was a machine that was used to pick the seeds out of cotton which previously took a lot of time and hard work. This increased the production of cotton.

The Steam Engine
Originally, factories were built near water sources to power the machines. Then, James Watt invented the steam engine. Factories no longer had to be built near water. The steam engine was powered by coal and they were made of iron. The steam engine lead to the inventions of the steam boat and locomotive. This made it is easier to travel and more trades were made over longer distances.

Interchangeable Parts
Interchangeable parts were identical parts manufactured by machines. This lead to the mass production of many goods. Interchangeable parts could help to easily repair things and they could be used for many purposes. Mass production, after being started by the creation of interchangeable parts, lead to goods becoming more accessible to more people, because they were being produced at cheaper prices.
