Ahmet's Adventure

5th PRIMARY SCHOOL OF RHODES - 4th GRADE - BETTY KIRITSI AND HER PUPILS

It was an autumn day. Ahmet went at the Temple to pray. He was very sad. He had lost his family and he was feeling very lonely. The turtles of the Temple were his only company. Ahmet was the only person who was feeding and taking care of them. So the turtles were following him wherever he was going. But that day something strange was going to happen. While the turtles were eating their food, Ahmet looked out of the window and he froze!

The turtles were squeezing and hid themselves quickly. They were feeling that something was wrong. Ahmet was seeing a group of bandits. Probably they wanted to sack the temple! Ahmet didn't know what to do and didn't have a place to hide. Suddenly, a turtle was talking to him. "Touch me, and you will become a turtle forever. You will be saved

Ahmet didn't want to become a turtle but he knew it was the only solution to escape from the bandits. So he touched the turtle and became one of them.

The life as a turtle wasn't so easy......

He had to pass a lot of difficulties and problems. The first he had to pass through was....

to escape the bandits. Ahmet had an idea , he pushed the window open and fell on a cart full of hay. He didn't know it was the bandits' cart. They had started to sack the temple and didn't notice. One by one the other turtles followed him but suddenly ....

... the bandits came near to the cart full of hay and started to hide there all the things they removed from the temple. Among these they put there and the Ahmet's bag with magic filters that Ahmet used to make in order to make people feel stronger and better. When Ahmet saw his bag remembered a filter he had made from spinach and herbs. They could drink it, he thought, and be strong. The turtles drunk indeed the magic filter and the couldn't beleive what happened....
