Samuel and his world

Samuel was a child who lived in a country where winter lasted all over the year and was so cold. For this reason he could not go out to play, have a walk or meet his friends.

Then Samuel was a sad child, who spent long and boring afternoons at home. The only moments of joy were those in which he took refuge in his fantastic world where he really lived but, it was so hot that even the watches melted.

The little bird asks help from Samuel

He liked to be there as the time stopped. He liked to the hot and to swim in the sea forgetting that he was so different from the others. You see Samuel couldn’t walk like others kids could. So he preferred to live in his fantastic world where anything was possible like to lay down and feel the warmth of sun .

He also loved the silence as no clock did the known sound of tick tack. He was dreaming that h was walking in a desert and he was directing in an ice-cream van as he wants to buy an ice-creamwhen a sound heard from his window. Back to reality. He went close to his window and looked at snow that had covered his village.

He felt sad hearing the other kids to having fun and enjoying the snow in their yards. He was angry because he couldn’t go out and create his own snowman. But what was that sound. He looked carefully this time and saw that little cold and desperate bird. Samuel had the impression that the bird wanted something. 

-     What do you want? Samuel asked.

- It's too cold outside and I' m hungry, says the bird.

- Come inside! Samuel says. Wait! I' ll bring you something to eat.

- Thank you, Samuel, replies the bird.

- How you know my name ? asks Samuel.

 But before the little bird says anything, the room fills up with smoke. In the bird's place a little wizard appears. He wears a black long coat, a silver hat with black stars on it and black glasses.

- I' m Ozzi, he says, and I' m a young blind wizard. I can see only with the eyes of my heart, but I can transform myself into a bird and help the good kids who need me.

- But how can I find this clock? I'm too young and I can't walk, said Samuel with sadness.

The magician takes Samuel in front of a wall in the house, and suddenly a gate opens. He says : ‘Cross the gate , don’t be afraid !’

Samuel arrives in the fantastic world of his dreams. In this world where everything is possible, he can walk. ‘But how can I find the watch that never melts ?’

‘Oh dear, oh dear , I’m late, I’m late .’

A white rabbit arrives . He has got glasses, a brown bow-tie, and a red blazer. He has got an umbrella and also a white watch. And he is in a hurry.

Samuel thinks ‘Oh Maybe this is the watch . Wait for me, little rabbit, please !’

Samuel follows the rabbit , and he says : “Where are you going ? Let me see your watch!”

The rabbit stops and says: “ I am going to the sea . Why do you want my watch? Look it’s five o’clock, I am late, I am late. ”

Samuel looks at the watch and suddenly it starts to melt He is so sad: 'this is not the watch I am looking for, where is it ? "
