One day, I was sitting at home doing homework on my science project. It was on the Milky Way, I wasn't very interested in it but it was a major grade so I had to get it done. I had put it off for a while now and it was due tomorrow so I didn't have a clue what I was going to do on the project. I took out my notebook, but couldn't think of anything so I went to my room.

I was getting very tired after staying up for so long on the project. I felt like I was going to fall asleep, and then I did. I dozed off into a deep sleep. But then, I woke up somewhere it seemed like a lab or something. When I found a big telescope. It said "Spitzer" on it, and when I looked into it, I could see the whole galaxy. All the stars and planets.

At that moment, I became so interested in my project. I took the notebook I had in my pocket and started writing down facts. I wrote about how a telescope could be used to see faraway planets and galaxies. But as I was finishing my note-taking I got sleepy again and fell asleep again.

When I woke up this time, I had on a space suit and I was on top of a satellite! It was called the "Landsat" It was a huge satellite, I took out my notebook and wrote down more facts about it. I wrote about how they are used to go into orbit and they are used to study surfaces of stars and planets. But, again I dozed off.

I felt a little cold when I woke up this time. I was in some type of vehicle. Everything around me was red and felt different. I think I'm on Mars! I was in a Mars Rover. I started driving around Mars. The surface was rocky and was a beautiful red. The climate was much different than that on Earth. I took more notes and then again, I fell asleep in the Mars Rover, Curiosty.

I woke up again and I was floating. I was in some type of vehicle, but I didn't know what kind. Maybe a plane, or a ship? I saw a sign that said Voyager on the side. It said "space probe" in little letters. I remembered what my science teacher had told me, she said space probe were unmanned spaceships that tour planets. I wrote that down in my notebook and fell asleep AGAIN.

I woke up and instantly felt the gravity. I was back on Earth but I was in some kind of lab again. It was a place full of telescopes and scientists. I asked one of them where I was, and he told me I was in a Space Observatory called, Chandra. It was used to study radiation in space. I asked him to tell me more and began jotting notes down. But as I left I fell asleep again.

When I got to class the next day, with a notebook full of notes. I sat down in my seat, I was tired and I got no sleep but at least my project was done. When the teacher collected my work, he told me I had done an amazing job on the project and gave me an A! I was so proud of myself and felt like I had learned so much about space and the technology used to discover space.
