this story is dedicated to dog Dandy, my dad Steve, my mom Kristine, my brother Dustin, and my sister Hope.

Do you have an animal that you love? Did you ever see it get ran over by a car and almost getting splattered? Having to rush around town in search of a vet that. is open? I have seen all of that read on to hear my experience.
It was a hot, humid summer day, it was like a million degrees outside, and the sun was shining, and the birds where chirping. It was the perfect day for a BBQ.
“Come outside we can play soccer and have a BBQ,” said my dad with joy in his voice.
I’ll be out in a minute, I yelled.
“I’m coming just wait,” said my sister Hope
“Whatever I'm coming,” yelled my brother Dustin.
“Hope, Kayla, and I will be on a team, Dustin you're on your own,” said my dad.
We started to play, and Dandy was dashing around on her zip-line leash. Next thing we know Dandy and Dustin are sprinting toward the very busy intersection.
My dad yelled sounding worried, “Dustin stop!”
Dustin was already at the double yellow line he almost was struck by the same car that just hit Dandy! Next thing we know Dandy is just lying on the road without any motion.
My dad ran toward the road, made sure Dustin was ok. Then he called my mom to tell her to come outside as soon as possible.
“What's wrong,” my mom asked with a blank face.
“A car ran Dandy over and almost hit Dustin,” my dad answered.
“Is Dustin ok, where is he?!” my mom asked sounding very worried.
“Dustin and the girls are in my parents' house,” my dad said trying to calm my mom down.
My mom said,” ok,” with a bit less worry in her voice.
All the vets where closed because it was Memorial Day, but what we didn’t know was that the owner was checking up on dogs that had surgery the day before and when my mom calle d, he would say that he could be there in a minute. We then found out that Dandy didn’t break anything. When my dad and mom got home, they said Dandy is ok. Everyone was glad Dandy was ok.
This feeling was a horrible feeling I felt like I was going to lose my dog. As I learned to always make sure your dog's leash is tight enough, they won't slip out. This is important because why risk your dog's life just tighten the collar.
