Dedicated to my whole fam for buying our new home, and to the man who sold it to us. :)
BTW> THE HOUSE ON THE COVER WAS MY OLD HOUSE :)

After several hours of driving, we finally reached the house with the white siding. Though it was much smaller than my old house, the vast fields behind it made it seem even tinier. The owner stepped out of the pill-shaped sun porch. He looked very old; at least 70. The house was simple 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and the bare necessities. The tour of the land is what faltered our opinions about this small house. This might be the house we’d finally buy. Of all the houses we’ve seen, this could be “The One”, or not.
we were moving because my dads work was too far away,in Johnstown and we were in greensburg.
When my family and I emerged from the rocky driveway, we immediately saw the huge wooden house, and its wrap-around porch.
“Holy cow!”, Dad sighed, “That’s a big barn”.
Inside, there was a ceiling that went the whole way to the roof.
“Is that a ten point?’, Rowan, my twin brother, asked, and my father nodded “yes” in reply.

The kitchen was humongous, and had spruce cabinets. The countertop was made of engineered stone, and had farm themed décor everywhere! The bedrooms and bathrooms had the same decoration style as the kitchen. There were enough rooms for all five of us to not share, plus an office and playroom.
The day after, we learned that the house was way over our budget., so we couldn’t buy it. Later, at lunch, my Dad told us that a man at his work was selling his farm. We were going to check it out tomorrow. I was truly excited to see this house because what is this was “The Home”.
When we got to the house, it was small, very small. It didn’t help that the fields behind it were massive compare to it. It was a three bed, three bath house with a grungy basement. Unlike my old house, it did not have a finished basement.
But it was the tour of the fields behind the house was what changed our perspectives of the home. They were blinged-out in dandelions, and the trees made the perfect canopy from the hot July wind. The perfect weather that day made the experience even better. The birds were singing and the s scenery was beautiful.
My parents loved the house too, so we bought it! I felt so warm and happy to know we finally have a home. I learned to give everything a chance.
