The minor sound in songs. Found on the 6th degree of the scale, should you think wring, you will not be a minority.

As in Alla Breve, of course. Should you miss a beat, the conductor shall enforce counting in two.

The second degree of the Major Scale. When I was told about it, I had gone pale. The scale, does however, add some weird detail to a song.

Meaning "Strong", or "Loud". Typically, it is a moderate dynamic, If it is able to be heard.

Meaning slow, or serious, pronounced as Grah-vay. Any slow, serious, funeral music, could therefore be called grave grave grave music, for slow, serious, resting place music.

is for Hold

Also called a Fermata. The hold is to add suspense, and you must wait for the conductor, in order to recommence.

is for Ionian

The first degree of the scale. It brings the warm, happy major sound to the music. If you write a song in Ionian, you are adding to the majority of music.

is for Jazz Standard

Meaning that any jazz player should know that piece. The jazz standard is full of songs, and all of them have a standard pizzazz.

is for Klangfarbenmelodie

Directly translated as Tone Color Melody, from German. It is typically used to describe flowing classical music. This piece would be described as Klangfarbenmelodie.

is for Locrian

The seventh degree of the Major Scale. If your song starts on the 7th, you will nearly never prevail.

Meaning not sharp nor flat. Many forget that these are signs, but they are the most important, while only made up of 4 lines
