Hi my name is Sarah and I am four years old! When my mommy and daddy are at work, I get to go to daycare!

Daycare is so fun! Our teacher reads us books about how we can stay healthy at school. We practice keeping icky germs away by covering our nose when we sneeze, covering our mouths when we cough, and washing our hands all the time.

We have to wash our hands after we play outside, after we use the restroom, or before and after we eat lunch or a snack. This helps keep germs out of our mouths and off of our toys. We have a poster to help us remember how to wash our hands. I copy what I see in the pictures since I can not read yet.

Sometimes we have days called "Try it" where we are given new foods that we may not like. Mrs. Moreno says that by eating new healthy foods, we can make our tummies happy and grow strong.

When we finish eating our lunch or snack, Mrs.Moreno helps us to brush our teeth. I like to brush my teeth after I eat because it gets all of the food off and makes my teeth feel clean. My dentist even says that he thinks it is fantastic that I brush my teeth at daycare!

Sometimes at daycare I do not feel so good. We have a nurse that takes my temperature when I do not feel good. Today my head hurts and my tummy hurts. I feel sick after lunch and I threw up my food. I got sick again at home so Mommy took me to the doctor. The doctor says I should not go back to school for two days so I do not get my friends sick.

When I come to daycare in the morning, the classroom is so clean. It smells good and there are no messes. During the day we are allowed to make a mess but Mrs. Moreno helps us to understand that we have to take care of our classroom by helping keep it clean. I like it when we are allowed to have a wet paper towel to help wipe our mess on the table. I love to help.
