This book is about future space exploration and the cost involved. We ask you to think about the ethical side and the amount of money that is spent on space exploration.
Do you believe space exploration is essential to further our knowledge and our understanding of our place in the universe?

Europa Clipper
Purpose: The Europa Clipper will go to Jupiter's moon, Europa, to search for life under its icy crust.
Facts: NASA believes that Europa is the best place suitable for future life within our solar system.
Cost: The Europa clipper is still in building phases and is estimated at $2 billion.
If successful ...
NASA will know that there is other life in the universe.

Lunar Flashlight
Purpose: To find water ice or lunar water in the shadowed polar regions in the craters of the moon.
Facts: The Lunar Flashlight spacecraft is going to the moon to find lunar water by using special lasers. The infrared lasers are to shine light into the shaded polar regions while the Spectrometer measures surface reflection and composition.
Cost: Estimated cost by NASA $10 million.

If successful... it will rotate around the moon 80 times to map out the moon.

Mars 2020 Rover Cameras
Purpose: To see if there signs of past life and to prepare for human exploration of Mars.
Fact: Total cameras 23, Engineering cameras - 9
Science cameras - 7
Some cameras will help NASA see the Rover land on Mars. Other cameras are NASA's eyes to see the surface and navigate when driving around Mars, while other cameras assist in observations in the collection of samples.
Cost: $ 2.5 billion (including the launch cost).

If successful... the Mars 2020 Rover will investigate Mars to see if there are signs of past life and to prepare for human exploration of Mars.
SPHERE X
Purpose: The purpose of the SPHERE X is to survey the origins of our universe and also help astronomers to understand how our universe evolved.
Facts: Did you know that the SPHERE X is going to go to galaxies to gather data on more than 300 million galaxies, as well as more than 100 million stars in our own Milky Way,It will also give us a better understanding of the Big Bang.
Cost: $242 million (not including launch cost).

If successful... it will continue orbiting around Earth to search and provide more data.
