It was a rainy day in Parklandia and Esteban and Emelia's soccer game got canceled; entailing they had to stay at home all day long.

"I'm tired of sitting here today doing NOTHING!" Emelia exclaimed.

After they decided what they wanted to do with their day, they traveled to the pantry. But once they got there they realized there was a problem.

"How are we supposed to make a cake if there isn't any of the stuff we need in here to make it?" Emelia asked worriedly.

Esteban reassuringly told her, "It is vital to have all the supplies before we start. So we can ask mom to take us to the store and get all the stuff needed to make the cake!"

After making a list of all the ingredients they needed in order to make the cake, they went to the store to get all the essentials. They got flour, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and the most important ingredient of all ... pink food coloring. It is so potent that only the teeny tiniest amount would turn the whole entire batch bright pink!

While they were at the store paying for the supplies they needed to make the cake, suddenly red lights started flashing.

"What do those lights mean mom?" Esteban asked.

"Those lights mean a dubious person stole something from the store."

Confused, Emelia asked, "What does that mean?"

"That means they are suspicious and can't be relied upon to do the right thing."

"I promise to never be dubious mom." Esteban assured.

After they made it back home Mom told them, "If we facilitate a plan, making our cake will be easy as can be."

"Do we have a good start by getting all the ingredients we need Esteban?" Elemia asked.

"Yes, next we need to measure the ingredients and finally start baking!" Esteban replied.

The very first step to making the cake is mixing all the ingredients together in a large bowl until they are all equally stirred together.

Both Esteban and Emelia thought they knew what was the best way to mix the food together. Because they couldn't come to an agreement they soon found themselves in an altercation. They were both yelling at each other because neither would back down and let the other speak.

"Now, now guys. Remember we must enumerate our steps we are taking with each other in order to achieve our goal, that means we have to tell each other every move we are going to take. Both of the children thought about what Mom had just said and then Esteban responded, "Okay Mom, we promise to be kind to each other and listen when we both have ideas."

Mom had put the cake in the oven, so now they had 40 whole minutes before it was ready to be decorated.

Esteban starting looking around the kitchen and realized it was a COMPLETE MESS! While staring at the pink blobs of cake all over the walls and table he conceived an amazing idea.

"Hey guys! How about we all work together and clean up the kitchen while we are waiting for the cake to finish baking."

"That is a wonderful idea Esteban!" Mom replied.
