The original story of the Frog Prince ends with a Princess not upholding her promises and yet still marrying a Prince and living happily ever after. I think that a promise should never be taken lightly and upheld to the best of your ability. Also taking the time to fix your mistakes, since we all make them, is just as important. I think it is time the Frog Prince gets a new and better ending...Don't you?"

Once upon a time there lived a princess who was the most beautiful girl in the kingdom. She also was a very spoiled and vain princess who was never told no. No one had ever made her be accountable for anything in her life.
The princess loved looking at herself in a bejeweled handheld mirror her late mother gave her. She was so beautiful not just any mirror would be fit to hold her image. The princess went down to the pond to sit and admire her image in her precious mirror, since that is where the sun gave off the best light.
The princess dropped her precious mirror into the water by accident, but didn't dare reach into the murky and gross water to fetch it herself. She started to cry. She heard a voice and it said,
"I can help you fetch your mirror, princess."
"Who can help me?" she answered.
Suddenly, the most ugly frog, the princess had ever seen emerged from the water.
"I'll fetch your mirror, but only if you do me a favor in return." he told her.
"I want to feel love and kindness. I want to go to the castle where it is nice and warm, eat a large feast with you, and spend the night in a soft bed. Do you promise me these things in return for your mirror?" The frog asked.
The princess promised. How could a frog hold her to such a promise? She thought to herself. No one could make her do such a thing. The frog fetched the mirror and the princess grabbed the mirror and ran towards the castle.
"But you promised" yelled the frog.

The King greeted his daughter at the door.
"Dear child, why is your mirror all wet and why are you crying?" the King asked. The princess told him what happened and about her promise to the frog.
"Where is the frog now?" the King inquired.
"I ran away and left him at the pond, because he was too ugly and I didn't dare risk getting warts on my beautiful face." the princess admitted. The King realized he raised a selfish and vain girl and demanded she bring the frog to him.
The princess reluctantly went back and retrieved the frog and brought him to her father.
"Dear frog, would you like to come into our warm castle?" the King asked.
"Yes, I would like that very much." the frog said.
"Come, you must be hungry. My daughter promised you a feast at our table and she shall honor her promises. In fact you will eat off her very plate as well." the King offered.
"But father!" the princess responded angrily
"You made a promise and you will uphold your promise." the King replied.
After dinner the frog started to yawn.
"Come, you must be tired, would you like to sleep in a soft bed?" the King asked the frog.
"Yes, I would like that very much." the frog said
"My daughter will take you to her room where the softest bed in the kingdom is." the King responded.
"Oh father, I can't and I won't lie next to the ugliest frog in the kingdom!" the daughter yelled
"You promised a soft bed, and you will do as such." the King sternly replied.
