The day starts when Eddie and TJ see a girl all alone during recess.

"Do you have friends?" Eddie asks the girl.

"No," The girl says. "My name is Ana."

"You can be our friend, Ana! I'm Eddie!" Eddie says.

"I'm TJ," TJ tells Ana. They are all friends.

"Why don't you have friends?" TJ asks Ana.

"Sonia took my juice box. She wasn't a good friend," Ana tells TJ.

"Sonia? The really short girl that stutters? She's all alone over there," Eddie says.

"Oh, she is."

Eddie, TJ, and Ana walk up to Sonia.

"Why are you alone, Sonia?" Ana asks.

"I-I don't have f-f-friends anymore," Sonia stutters sadly. "And I c-can't stop st-st-stuttering. I'm also very sh-sh-short."

"You have to be nice to people so they want to be your friends. They way you look like doesn't matter," TJ says.

"R-Really?" Sonia asks.

"Yes, really. Tell Ana you're sorry first," Eddie says.

"I'm s-s-sorry for taking your j-juice, Ana," Sonia tells Ana.

Ana smiles. "It's okay. I forgive you. Just don't do it again and be nice to everyone."

"Okay," Sonia says. "I w-will start being n-nice. Can I be your f-f-friend?"

Eddie, TJ, and Ana smile and say, "Of course!"

The four friends start playing tag in the playground.

A boy named Georgie walks towards them.

"Can I play tag with you?" Georgie asks.

"N-No!" Sonia says.

"Sonia! Remember that you have to be nice to people!" Eddie tells Sonia.

"Oh," Sonia says. "I'm sorry, G-Georgie. You can p-p-play with us."

All five kids play tag. Then, it is time for class.

Sonia sees Cindy in her desk. "Get up from m-my d-d-desk!" Sonia yells.

"Sonia, you have to ask nicely," Ana says.

"Oh, I'm sorry. You can st-stay in my seat. I'll sit s-s-somewhere else," Sonia says and smiles.

The teacher begins her lesson.

"Today we will learn about being kind," Ms. Waters says.

Sonia smiles. "I need to l-l-learn a lot about being k-kind."

"Don't worry, you'll learn," TJ tells Sonia.
