Hi! I’m Addison, and I am a storm chaser! You may be wondering what that is, well in short, I go around the world and follow different natural disasters and phenomenon’s that happen and are related to weather. Is this job dangerous? It can be if the necessary safety precautions are not taken. But I try and follow all the rules to ensure my safety along with my crews. I do this crazy job to inform you and a lot of other people about what goes on around the world regarding weather, and the dangers of some of these storms. Come on follow me! Addison and her crew get in their private jet that they fly to Indonesia, which is a known for being by the Pacific Ocean, and the Pacific Rim bordering the Ocean has a large number of active submarine earthquake zones. So, this is a Tsunami hot spot. Let’s see what happens next

Okay, so we are at our tsunami safe tower in Indonesia, we have built this to withstand the forces that come with Tsunami’s. We just have to walk up a few stairs to get there.

suddenly the crew’s computers and phones start to go off with an alarm tone, let’s listen in to see what is going on. Radio operator: ATTENTION, ATTENTION! There has been a tsunami type wave detected in the Pacific Ocean, please take shelter in the highest point in your homes that you can! 

Alright we came here at the right time, we just need to go to our tower, and then wait for the wave!

remember Tsunamis are ocean waves triggered by Large earthquakes that occur near or under the ocean, Volcanic eruptions, Submarine landslides, Onshore landslides in which large volumes of debris/trash fall into the water

suddenly you hear the sound of rushing water, and you look over towards the ocean only to see the biggest wave you’ve ever seen in your life! Addison and her crew start to collect data, like wave height, how long it stretches, speed of the water etc. 

Wow! Wasn’t that exciting?? Now, I have gotten insider information that there is supposed to be a category 3 hurricane hitting landfall today in Georgia. We are going to head back to the U.S to witness this hurricane!
