Mohammad?

Mohammad was a prophet sent by Allah. Mohammad received messages from Allah through the Angel Gabriel. He was meditating on Mount Hira, when an Angel told him to read; however, Mohammad did not know how to read. Surprisingly, by the power of Allah, he was able to read and he was called to be the messenger of Allah.

Shahada

"I witness that there is no other God but Allah, and Mohammad is the prophet of Allah."

This is the profession of faith.

These words are said into newborn babies ears and they are said by Muslims before they pass away.

Salat

Muslims pray 5 times a day.

Prayers can be said in any clean place, but Muslims pray together in the mosque. They will stop whatever they are doing when it comes time to pray.

Male Muslims are expected to go to the mosque for noon prayers on Friday.
