This book is dedicated to my guinea pigs, Waffles and Winnie, and my friend RockinRosie246, who inspired me to write this. Also, this is a true story.

One day, my family was having dinner together. Me and my sisters were talking about guinea pigs and how we really wanted one. We talked about it almost everyday, and it annoyed our parents because they kept saying that we couldn't get pigs because of our cat, Fiona. But me and my twin sister, Scarlett, wanted one so much that we started to brainstorm names for it! And we had come up with a good name: Waffles! So, like I was saying, we were having dinner together, and me and my sisters were talking about guinea pigs. And it was early March, the week before March Break. The next holiday was Easter! Then my dad said: "I know you guys really want guinea pigs, so Mom and me have been thinking.
We were going to get you guinea pigs for an Easter present, but Coronavirus might be worse then, so we decided we would get them sometime in March." Me and my sisters were shocked! "We were thinking we could get them in March Break, since we aren't going anywhere for vacation," Mom explained. "Really? Thanks!" I exclaimed.
About a Week Later
We were having dinner together again. It was spaghetti and meatballs! We had all been really bored. Tomorrow was the day we were getting the pigs! We really wanted to get them today! We had looked at pictures and decided their names. Winnie was Kayla's guinea pig.
Waffles was me and Scarlett's guinea pig. Waffles is cream and black, and Winnie is mostly brown with a white stripe going down and up from his nose and some cream stripes. Okay, back to the present. The whispers stopped. My mom walked into the dining room. "I know you guys have been bored, so me and dad decided that we can get the pigs once you guys are done your dinner! We all instantly started to gulp down our food. Once we were all done, my dad texted the pigs' owner and we hopped in the car and went. It was a 40 minute drive but basically 80 because it was 40 there and 40 back. The pigs came in a cardboard box, with 1 hide hut, some hay, water, guinea pig pellets, bedding, and a chew stick.
