Some days were fun, some were exciting, and some were super duper special. Today was going to be a super duper special day because Franklin's mom said she had a surprise for him. 

"I want s'prise!" Franklin said. 

"Not yet sweetpea." His mom said. "First, we have to get dressed and drive to your surprise."

Franklin didn't want to wait for his surprise but his mom said he had to, so he tried to be patient.

"Who has wiggly little toes?" She asked.

Franklin looked down at his bare feet, wiggled his toes, and giggled. "Me! Me!" he said.

"Yes you do! Let's go find your socks and 

shoes so we can cover them up."

Franklin had no idea where his 

socks or shoes were but he loved

to help so he followed his mom to 

his room to look.

There were a lot of toys in Franklin's room so they had to search for his socks and shoes. Finally, his mom said, pointing, "Aha! Franklin, can you look over there and, if you find them, bring them to me?"

Franklin did as she asked, throwing blankets and toys 

out of the way to find them underneath.

                                         She helped him put on his 

                                         socks and shoes then she 

                                                  said they were ready to

                                                  go.

"Make sure to say bye to grandpa." his mom said.

Running to the front door, Franklin yelled, "Bye-bye grandpa!".

Franklin was very excited on the car ride to his surprise. He pretended he was a race car because he knew that race cars went places very fast! 

"Vroooooom!" he yelled from the backseat. "Mommyyy...s'prise!"

"Not much longer." She said, smiling. "We're almost there!".

Soon they pulled up to a big, brick, building. Franklin knew this building well. It was one of his favorite places in the whole wide world. 

They were at the library.

Franklin's mom said they were going to spend the day together, looking at books, and picking out some to bring home with them. 

He wiggled down from his car seat and took his mom's hand when she asked him to. It was definitely going to be a super duper special day!
