Ever since Marilyn was little she had a very big problem. Wherever she went, there always seemed to be monsters following her, causing all sorts of trouble! From the time she was a little girl, the monsters would never leave her alone!

No matter what she did or how hard she tried, it seemed there was no way to hide from them! They always found Marilyn.

The first time Marilyn ever met a monster, she was very little. She was very scared!

Every time Marilyn had something to do, monsters would always show up and ruin it!

As Marilyn grew older, she got used to the monsters. Although she didn’t like them, she learned how to get rid of them for a little while, one at a time. For example, when Marilyn was little, she ran into a monster who wanted to steal her teddy bear.

Marilyn loved her teddy bear and didn’t want to lose it. The monster grabbed one arm and Marilyn held tight to the other. They both pulled and pulled! Finally, with one last strong YANK! Marilyn tore her teddy bear free! Although her teddy bear had one less arm then usual, Marilyn was happy to have him back and move on.

Her next encounter with a monster was when Marilyn was hanging out with her friends. Little did Marilyn know, a monster was disguised as one of her friends! Surprised, Marilyn didn’t know what to do.

Suddenly, several ropes were thrown toward the monster, catching onto a horn and a hoof. It was Marilyn’s friends! Quickly, Marilyn grabbed a rope of her own and with the help of her friends, she captured the monster! Relieved but a little shaken up, she moved on!

Another monster appeared once after Marilyn had just bought a new pair of bright yellow shoes with purple flowers on them.

The monster SNATCHED Marilyn’s brand new shoes from her and dashed off! Marilyn was sad and lost hope of ever getting her shoes back. She trudged down the street slowly.

Suddenly, as Marilyn was walking down a big hill, she saw the monster at the bottom, wearing her shoes! Quickly as she could, Marilyn ran down the hill, gaining momentum as she ran. By the time she reached the bottom she was practically FLYING!

As she zoomed by the monster she snatched the shoes right off its feet! Although the shoes were a little bit dirty now, Marilyn was grateful to have them back and moved on.

Yet another monster interrupted Marilyn while she was walking along in her garden with a fresh rose she had just picked.

Marilyn held tight to the rose and its thorns cut into her hands as the monster fought to snatch it from her!
