The military alphabet is a list of words that represent a letter in the alphabet. The military uses this alphabet to improve communication between the soldiers when they are saying word codes to each other such as ,"Charlie, Delta" instead of "C, D". They do is because it is easy to confuse letters that sound alike like B, C, D, E, P.

This alphabet is not only used by the military but it is used by many people around the world to help them communicate better over the phone when spelling words and names.
