Adapting to learning styles/Multiple intelligences

Definition/Description: Adapting to learning styles/multiple intelligences has to deal with being able to adapt and create different ways of learning for different types of students. Some students may learn better with math and logic and other student might lean better working with a partner rather than by themselves.
One activity you can do as a teacher to adapt to different learning styles/multiple intelligences is to create a variety of stations that the students can work through throughout the class time. some of the stations can be the students working by themselves and some of the stations can be students working as a team or as with partners.
Hands on learning

Definition/Description: Hands on learning means the students get to physically be involved in an activity. This means using their hands arms feet and legs!
A hands on activity is easy to achieve in the PE setting! Any type of sport is very hands on. You can start by teaching basketball! Dribbling and shooting the ball. Then the children can learn to play together as a team.
Targeted Feedback

Definition/Description:
Targeted feedback is when the teacher or coach gives strong feed back to how the students might be doing different activities.
This one isn't so much an activity for the students but an instruction for the teachers. It is important to give student feed back on what they are doing in class. Maybe you can help them correct their form when shooting a basketball or dribbling and passing to a teammate!
Peer Teaching/Collaborations

Definition/description:
Peer teaching/collaborations means that the students are working together as a team to teach each other a game or concept.
This activity can go many different ways. You can have the students do a team sport like hockey or soccer and split them up into teams. The teammates have to work together to score a goal and defeat the opposing team!
Music/Songs

Definition/Description:
Music and songs help get more of the creative mind going while also using some physical education like dance!
