THE DEVIL'S RITUAL

As Sir Eli walked out from the city square. He
decided to go over and see his old friend Sir
Tiffy who was sitting in his normal spot on the
bench looking at the city garden. When Sir Eli
walked into the garden Sir Tiffy ushered him
over with a look of urgency on his face.
"The evil Mahjarrats and their followers have
come back together to perform the Centurial
Ritual. They kidnapped prince Arrav and are
going to sacrifice him! All we know so far is
that Prince Arrav was kidnapped last night. We
sent a group of scouts out after them who
followed them all the way to white wolf
mountain.

"We believe they are performing the ritual in
one day’s time on top of the mountain.” said
Sir Tiffy.

"Will anyone accompany me on this journey?" asked Sir
Eli
"Yes, we will be sending a large number of white knights
and also a squad of elite void knights." replied Sir Tiffy.
"Are there any mages included?" asked Sir Eli
"Yes the void knights currently have 3 mages and all
have mastered their spells” said Sir Tiffy.
"When do we leave?" questioned Sir Eli
"You will leave to the city of Taverly tonight then you
will ascend up the mountain at dawn and rescue the
prince."

As Sir Eli and the small army arrived in
Taverly, Sir Eli spotted a man who
looked poorly fed and as by the white
knight code he offered him some dinner.

"What are you and your small army doing here in Taverly?"
the man asked between mouthfuls
"We are here to rescue Prince Arrav from being sacrificed
during the Mahjarratian ritual".
“Oh, I thought you would be here to stop them summoning
the devil during the ritual."
Everyone stopped eating and stared at the man.
"What did you say?" asked Sir Eli
“The evil mages and the Mahjarrats are planning to summon
the devil and they are using the princes’ blood to summon
him".

Everyone turned to look at Sir Eli all knowing that this was not their simple
kidnapping rescue as they had thought but the future of the world was in
their hands.
"Well now we definitely have to stop them from completing the ritual and
remember we came here to save Prince Arrav. We will leave tomorrow at
dawn and we will attack the mages at noon."
As everyone was leaving the room to go to their tents to go to sleep the
homeless man pulled Sir Eli over to the side and said, “The fate of our world
is in your hands if we want to live in a world with minimal chaos you have to
stop the ritual. When you attack the mages on white wolf mountain I want
you to take this staff. They have a small army up there guarding them
because there is such small room for error for them. With this staff you can
freeze the mages and their army solid and the freezing spell hits more than
one person at a time. Be careful and use it wisely because it can only freeze
200 people before it needs recharging at the altar of the gods.”

At dawn the next morning Sir Eli and his small army set
off to white wolf mountain.
As they reached the peak of the mountain Sir Eli told
everyone to stop as they could hear the Mahjarrat
preparing for the ritual. Sir Eli and his army spread out
around the top of the mountain.
Sir Eli charged in on the un-suspecting Mahjarrat army.
He was followed by his army of knights. The Mahjarrat
reacted quickly and pounced immediately into action.
There were cries coming from all directions as men from
both armies fell.

Sir Eli spotted the higher ranked mages all in a group chanting a
curse and just at that moment he remembered the ancient staff
the man from the street gave him. He took out the staff and
took aim at the mages. Suddenly a powerful force flew out of the
staff and engulfed the mages. The mages froze solid with a look
of surprise on their faces. Sir Eli realized that he was here to
save Prince Arrav. He looked around vividly searching for the
prince, he finally spotted him tied up but he was not heavily
guarded. Obviously the guards had come to help in the battle.
Sir Eli looked around to see if there was enemy around. There
wasn't. He quickly untied Prince Arrav and gave him a sword to
protect himself from any incoming attacks. Sir Eli looked around
and saw the 11 Mahjarrat chanting something together. The elite
void knights were moving into attack the Mahjarrats. At the last
moment fire lurched up from the ground and engulfed most of
the elite void knights. The others immediately retreated

The fire was quickly spreading across the peak of the
mountain and Sir Eli realized that he would have to
do something fast or else everyone would soon burn.
He quickly pulled out the staff and froze all the white
knights and himself. As he expected the fire burned
everyone else even the Mahjarrat followers.
